^^^
I just use the rocket launcher I found on Chapter 3 and the fight was over. The game become ridiculous easy if you and Sheva both have magnum guns with unlimited ammo.

There was really no problem with the game ever, It plays like the previous just looks better. The demo was just too hard for some reason, but when u start the actual game it just plays naturally as it all comes back to u... Loved it, I want RE6!

Question: I have a Magnum, shotgun and rifle in my arsenal... I can NEVER seem to find Magnum ammo anywhere when I play thru a level. I have it maxed out but it's useless. Any ideas why?

It is more rare than the other ammo to find.

Re: Resident Evil 5
yeah, it's hard to find. makes the gun only valuable when you spare it for special occasions or when you get infinite ammo.
i beat this through again on veteran and got all the emblems. i'm done with the game. mercenaries has no value to me.

Magnum ammo is super rare. I'd recommend not getting any ammo capacity upgrades unless you're out of bullets (or almost out). You get a free refill that way.

I think I'm done with this too. PM me if you want to buy a PS3 version.

Re: Resident Evil 5
Looks like a re-release of sorts is coming out next year, but it's taking advantage of the new Sony motion controller:

Well, we now know what that "Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut" stuff was all about. It's a re-release of RE5, built to take advantage of Sony's upcoming motion controller.
The game will be out in Spring 2010, and it's far from the only existing PS3 title to take advantage of the new peripheral. During SCEJ's TGS press conference, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida revealed that the controller will also work with existing games like LittleBigPlanet, EyePet, Flower, Pain, High Velocity Bowling "and more".
Whether, like Res 5, you'd need to buy new versions of the game to use the motion controller or just install an update wasn't elaborated. We'll update if we hear more.

For those that never bought this the Collector's Edition (which comes with worthless junk, but a decent documentary) is $39.99 at GameStop. I picked it up today. BTW, I completely hate the game after 1-1 and consider it $40 down the drain. My friend said to expect that and that I will love it by chapter 2.

If you are giving up by 1-1 you're missing out. Keep pushing, it gets better. I was severely disappointed with the game at first but once I got a feel for all the tweeks and changes, I really enjoyed the game. 1000'd it once for myself and once for my wife. It grows to be addicting. Of course, Mercenaries is garbage but fun for a few go-rounds.

Was gonna pick this up, but will wait for the "Gold Edition" re-release. They are going to add the DLC for download also, but I'd prefer to have it on disc.

Re: Resident Evil 5
I'm planning on picking this up at BB during their black Friday sale. I have a couple of other games to get to first though.

Watch the trailer for the upcoming new episode Lost In Nightmares on XBLA. Chris and Jill go to the mansion to confront Ozwell Spencer founder of Umbrella. Not much was show on the trailer but I probably purchased it cause I'm really enjoyed playing these Resident Evil games. Hopefully there would be another espisode with Josh in the future.

Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition Details
Earlier today we reported on the details of additional and downloadable Resident Evil 5 content being made available in Japan. Capcom has updated that info with information regarding the American release of these additions and the news that it will be available as a box copy as well. So far we know that the content includes:
The Lost in Nightmares Episode (500 yen/400 MSP): This includes the previously announced new episode that pairs RE5 hero Chris Redfield with RE series veteran Jill Valentine. Famitsu confirms a one hour gameplay time for the episode as well as a frightening new enemy who haunts the halls underneath Spencer's mansion. Also included in the pack are EX figures and two characters for use in Mercenaries mode.
Sheva will be getting a new red hooded "Folklore" outfit.
Costume Pack 1 (200 yen/160 MSP): This includes two costumes, EX figures, and two characters for Mercenaries.
Unannounced New Episode (500 yen/400 MSP): That's right, Lost in Nightmares isn't the only additional episode! Sadly, Famitsu doesn't have any details on this additional scenario. As with the Lost in Nightmares DLC, it will include EX figures and two characters for Mercenaries mode.
Costume Pack 2 (200 yen/160 MSP): Like Costume Pack 1, this includes two costumes, EX figures, and two Mercenaries characters.
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will include the two new downloadable episodes, a host of new costumes, and the mode titles "Mercenaries Reunion" which features "eight new playable characters and weapon load outs."
The Gold Edition will be available on disc in The States for PS3 and Xbox 360 for $49.99. Some of the content on Xbox 360 will be downloadable through tokens that are packaged with the disc. Famitsu had the Japanese released listed for some time in March, so we can hope that America will get the extra content around the same time.
