I'm finally promoted to my 1st Line with the Grand Rapids Griffins. I believe I am second in the league in scoring....14 goals and 4 assists. One day I will break into the Wings lineup.

Fun game though....

Does anyone know how to assign your gained XP to your players? I'm playing in Dynasty mode and have something like 300XP for Datsyuk... how do I assign it to his different skill sets?

It is not too bad if you control a guy with good wrist shot accuracy.

Uh, well... I honestly don't remember where it is. But if you go into your main Be a Pro menu I remember it being pretty easy to find. And by pretty easy, I mean I didn't go into fourteen other menus before I found it. I'll take a look tonight if I have the chance.

Im referring to Dynasty mode where players are assigned XP after the game. I can find it fine in BAP, but in Dynasty I've looked high and low and I'm assuming the cpu handles it for you... but I don't know why EA wouldn't allow the GM to handle it.

Is there any way to change your Be A Pro players position after he is already assigned to a team? I'd like to switch my guy from being a Winger to Center.

Just had quite an interesting game with my Be A Pro character on the Devils against the Senators. First there was a slow shot from center ice that managed to get past Brodeur then this little number shortly after that:

And to top it all off, it was my highest scoring game so far, 13-4 (10 minute periods). Elias had 8 goals 1 assist and my character had 9 assists 2 goals.

I don't think you can manually edit players in Dynasty. If I recall, you could focus training, but a player's specific growth was autopilot and just a result of the XP it received in-game on 08. I assume it would be the same in 09.

I don't have a legitimate answer for you other than to say that your coach can put you wherever he sees fit. So I guess you should just keep your mouth shut and play where the organization believes you best fit into the system, lest you be labeled a troublemaker.

But there still may be a way to adjust your primary position. I couldn't find it.

Question for those who play ranked games online. I played a couple last night (2-0) and noticed throughout the game, it would have my gamertag and my opponents gamertag at the bottom of the screen during play with a little circle and number beside it. The number starts at 0 and goes up as the game moves along.

At first I thought it was the amount of shots or faceoffs but the number never matches up with any of those stats. Any idea?

You get skill points after each game, maybe that was it?

That was always my guess as well... but I have no idea how or why they accumulate.

Anyone have any disc reading errors with this? Just got it last night and I've had a handful of errors when I get into the main menu, it just says has trouble reading the disc, try cleaning....Think I'll just return it and get a new one.

2 player team?

please forgive me if this was already asked but here goes:

My friend and i are trying desperetely to join up on xbox live together to play him and i ON THE SAME TEAM to play against the computer, and we cannot find a way to do it. We can play AGAINST each other, but not co op. When we go into some of the online private games there is a section that says how many xbox 360 consoles and 3 is the minimum. Please dont tell me this wont be possible. When we play "play a friend" it does not let us choose the same team together it forces us to play AGAINST each other. Thanks for the help.

There must be a way. I play ranked online games all the time against 2-3 players on the same opposing team.

I know how you can play co-op against online opponents, but I've never tried co-op against the computer. If you want easy co-op against online opponents start a Club with just the two of you.

Yeah thanks for the reply but the whole idea is that we kinda suck, so thats why we wanted to team up against the computer not other humans....LOL. We have pretty much come to the conclusion thats its not possible. I asked this same question in the official ea sports nhl 09 forum and I got a couple of "no's". Oh well as bad as we suck, this is still an extremely fun game!

Everyone kind of sucks. The great thing about playing online is that if its just the two of you, you have a huge advantage over the full teams of 4 and 5 players. The more human players, generally, the worse a team's going to be. They still rely on the swarm and attack mentality without giving a damn about positioning. The really good teams are few and far between.

I love playing against 2 or more human players online. So many times I will be coming up on the wing and both defensemen will come at my winger who then dishes off a pass to create a 2 on 0 break.

Is it something wrong on my end, or have EA's servers to d/l rosters been dead forever? Just started playing this again a bit a week or two ago, and ever since then, when I go to the d/l rosters screen, it tells me "Unable to connect to EA Sports servers at this time. Please try again."

How are people liking the patch? I'm glad they fixed the wrist shot glitch, but not at the expense of slapshot, wrister and rush accuracy.

I feel that I miss the net a LOT now with the patch. I guess the aiming is a LOT more sensitive. What else did this patch fix?
