they should show up though on normal rotation in a hardcore game...at least that is what happens in Kill confirmed...which is another mode you can't play the new maps exclusively on.

They made Elite free for this game but didn't extend the map perk. You have to buy the pack or a season pass.

I really don't know if I want to give Treyarch anymore money. I would like to check out the new maps, but if they haven't addressed the lag issue, I don't want to say that's OK by giving them more of my cash.

The new maps are ok I suppose. The only one I can't stand is Mirage. The DLC gun isn't too bad. It's basically an AR that let's you move quickly as if it was an SMG.

I posted my impressions in the general Xbox thread - which was probably a mistake.

I absolutely love the skate park map.
The hydro plant map is also good.
I like the desert map (mirage) pretty well and it is probably my second favorite.
The snowy resort map is alright but not thrilling.

I like the new gun, but making an SMG have AR stopping power seems like a bad idea. There already is a huge number of folks just running around with SMGs - not so sure one with more power is needed.

Yes.

Couldn't connect to the CoD servers to get the maps at first. Then I dropped to dashboard and downloaded them ther (1.8 gig download btw).

Later on I was watching Netflix and Live kept dropping my connection so Netflix would crap out and ask me to sign up for Gold.

I got the maps tonight and played a few matches on the snow level, hydro and the skate park. I liked the snow level the most... Probably because it was the largest? I felt like I died every ten steps playing the skate park. Either way I'm glad to have new maps as all my tricks are old hat on the original maps.

My friend peer pressured me into buying the maps. I'm not a fan of the new gun. The maps are not that bad. They seem to be bigger in size from what I can tell. While I like grind, it doesn't seem to make much sense as a battleground, but whatever. It seems nothing at all was done to address the lag issue. I was in a game where a kid went 75-3 with 2 swarms. I watched the tape, and he just seemed to get the benefit of every firefight. One shot kills with a silenced PDW while taking damage and just not dying. I can't really tell if funny business was going on or not.

Funny thing is I heard him whisper to someone behind him when I mentioned I was definitely bookmarking the film. Next match he went like 12-10. He was actually on my team, and my friend and I were openly questioning the legitimacy of his game.

What really was weird is the kid has a worse K/D than both me and my friend, and he puts on escort drone, vsat, and swarm expecting to get it?

Minor vent. Why when you are on Hardcore do your teammates chose to run in front of you while you are Firing on the enemy. I got booted from four games tonight due to "Friendly Fire"

This 12 yo kid I was playing against this morning got totally owned by his mom over the mike in the lobby.
She was saying that he promised he would cut down playing the game and she would even take it away.
Seriously, turn your mike off when that happens and we will not find your boasting as funny when a game is going on!

I finally got Diamond on Launchers and SMGs took me a while, with playing on a hotel network the lag is a little rough. Im starting on Shotguns next and WOW what have I been missing shotties are great. on a side note, LMGs are going to take forever to get all the headshots.

Eh, two or three rounds to get to target finder then just do chaos maps + aim at tops of diamonds. SMG headshots seemed way harder for me.

The really need to do away with tactical insertion for TDM and KC. The amount of boosting that goes on is getting ridiculous. Saw two jackasses on Meltdown doing it on one end of the map out in the open. The one guy has a lifetime .88 KDR, yet he has a 5.85 KDR with one weapon (gee, wonder how?). Also, he's only a prestige 3 and has used tac insert 1682 times.

Let's say I want to help you boost levels quickly. I would run tac insert when I'm on the opposite team and re-spawn in front of you so you could kill me over and over again thus getting huge killstreaks, knife and shield challenges that are normally a bitch, camo awards, headshots, etc.

Unless of course, you're just being sarcastic and then I feel like a dope for responding.
