New maps came out today. I have downloaded them, but won't be able to play until tomorrow. Anyone play them yet?

I've played three of the four before going into work this morning.
  1. Studio is too small.
  2. Magma is okay.
  3. Encore is the worst fucking map in the game.
Can I get an IW-based COD again?

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I liked all 4. Had some of my best matches ever on Vertigo and Studio. Magma was interesting. Encore I only played once and when I hopped in the other team was calling multiple Lodestars and Swarms so I bugged out.

I enjoyed them all, a bigpart of that could just be that they are new, or that no one has figured out the places to camp and snipe yet...

Played a match last night on Studio, and the final kill cam was a dragonfire taking out someone in the rear of the studio set where the scaled city is. It looked like something out of a 50's science fiction movie.

No map is worse that Hydro... it's just not possible.

I dont' mind Hydro. It's not a great map, but I don't think it's terrible either. Aftermath, however, is a steaming pile. I hate that map witha passion.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I like the remake Encore.

Magma is a really pretty map imo with some neat paths.

Vertigo seems like it has potential but I only played it twice. I am assuming you basically have one interior and then a big ring around it outside with a second level ring outside?

I guess Studio never came up for me because in the couple games I played last night I don't remember it at all.

Overall, I really like the new maps. Much more colorful than the packed in maps. Grind still might be my favorite.

If we're talking about maps we hate, let's talk about Carrier. FUCK that map. I only use a sniper rifle to counter snipers. I hate that camping long distance hide in the equipment bullshit

See, I love Aftermath... hide out in the corners of that room and take suckers out. I usually get my longest kill streaks on that map.

I actually like Hydro. Out of the first DLC, I liked all of them but Mirage.

Studio and Magma are great maps if you're running around with SMGs. Encore still sucks. Still haven't gotten to play Vertigo.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

The lag comp or whatever reared its head again last night. After alternating between good and bad rounds I finally ended with a 69-1 round of domination. The other team literally had no chance of hitting me. My only death was when I was outnumbered 3 on 1. It was my best round ever.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

the lag was awful last night. I put three shotgun rounds in a guy from behind, he turns around and blows me away. Upon replay, he was facing me the whole time. wtf??

I could not agree with you more. I don't think there's one point on that map that spurs any sort of action. More than half the time I play that map, it ends up taking an entire 10 minutes with no one getting to 75 kills.

It's ass.

I still think Aftermath and Turbine are the worst maps, but Encore is pretty terrible and bland. I expected more from an arena setting.

Turbine sucks too. I always bail when that or Hydro are selected.

Here here. I'm never shot more from nowhere than that map. No matter how careful I'm being. You just can't check all 10,000 possible sniper locations fast enough.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

This is why I miss Chaos Moshipit.

No Aftermath. No Carrier. No Turbine. Only the handful of maps that are worth playing.

Fuck it, can Treyarch just give us Call of Duty: Nuketown in 2015?

Same here! That map is bullshit.

Yawmush - I hate you for liking that map. That's why when I host our shenanigans it's the first map we play. Get that POS out of the way.

That maps sucks too. Unless you love being spawn killed, of course.

I do not get the Nuketown love at all. I mean, you can get a bunch of kills but you'll die a ton too.
