They seem to do about the same as everyone else, as far as I can tell. Maybe a bit more, but other re-releases aren't as bad as you're trying to make them sound. I don't know how the same price as any other Wii U at $50 is a good deal.

Actually, isn't standard price $59?

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

Apparently, Toys R Us is having a buy 1, get 1 free sale on certain Wii U titles next week:
  • Fast & Furious
  • Call of Duty Black Ops 2
  • 007 Legends
  • Epic Mickey 2
  • The Walking Dead Survival Instinct
  • Batman Arkham City Armored Edition
  • Lego Batman 2
  • Madden NFL 13
  • Fifa Soccer 13
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited

Less flexible than Target's B2G1F sale that's also running next week, but...

Generally, although a few Wii U games are debuting at $49.99, such as Sonic: Lost Worlds, Wii Party U (which also includes a MotionPlus controller), and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

The idea of $10 separating a remake and a brand new game with from-the-ground-up designs, new gameplay mechanics, new worlds, new monsters, etc., etc,. etc. makes no sense to me. I'm sure Wind Waker HD will be a huge success regardless (and again, I'm buying it too!), but it does make me a little nervous about what the future may hold.

Got my Wii U all set-up, just downloading WindWaker now. I'm typically not a fan of downloads unless they're really low cost....but I just can't wait two more weeks to play this game.

Target's sale is B2G1 on all Wii U games, right?

I notice that that Scribblenauts Unmasked, the DC tie-in game, comes out on the 24th. I might wait till that comes out to do the B2G1 at Target.

I thought it seemed a little off. I'll be home in just a while and I will actually add you, haha!

Includes a White or Black 32gb system, controlpad/tablet, Wii Remote Plus, 30 days of Nintendo x Joysound Wii Karaoke U service, digital copies of New Super Mario Bros U and Wii Party U. $332, not bad for Japan.

Minor correction: the one with Wii Fit U and the Fit Meter is a tiny bit pricier at $352, coming in at $20 more than the other bundle. They range from $13 to $33 more than the game-less premium Wii U over on that side of the Pacific. That's a whole lotta value if they can bring it over here.

I left the Wii Fit U one out since it doesn't include the required scale-whatever-thing that I guess is required? I dunno.

It's the black one you're showing on the right. Wii Fit U and the Fit Meter are listed beneath Wii Party U.

My local Target didn't get any WiiU Scribblenauts Unmasked. Plus they have no Rayman games, and I didn't realize Wind Waker isn't coming out until next month. Does the buy three games and return 2 still work, because there's no way I'm finding three games for the B2G1F.

Yes, it still works. I don't see Target ever changing the way they handle the b2g1 promo.

Has anyone played the Wonderful 101 yet? My son was enamored with the display video at Target last week? I'm not even sure what the genre is but was thinking it'd make a good Xmas present for him.

How's that work? 33% off each?

So is Zombie U worth $20?

I'm not very far into it at all (the intro and entirety of the first operation), but I'm having a blast so far. Sort of an action/puzzle game. I've read complaints about camera issues and hiccups with getting the symbols drawn on the gamepad to properly register, though, and I can see that being an issue later on.

I grabbed a used copy of Nintendoland from GS for $8...I'm having a blast with everything I've played except the dumb balloon game.

I haven't had a chance to hit Target up yet. I guess if they don't have Scribblenauts Unmasked I can get Rayman. The other ones I want are Pikmin and Wonderful 101.

Maybe I'll get Rayman, Scribblenauts, and Pikmin, then.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

Finally found a Target with Scribblenauts Unmasked. Still no Rayman, but that led me to confirm that Disney Infinity, which is already on sale for 60, is eligible for B2g1f
