Nope, not at all. Neither game. Not on Xbox or PS4.

RUMOR SUGGESTS MICROSOFT HAS CONSIDERED ACQUIRING EA, VALVE, PUBG CORP

"A reliable source close to Microsoft" told Polygon the news, with reports of "internal shifts" at Microsoft creating the necessary situation for an acquisition.

SuperDataResearch analyst Joost Van Dreunen further told Polygon that he expects more news about an acquisition soon.

"Because of where we are in the lifecycle of all these things, I’m expecting to hear Microsoft announce something very, very shortly".

This follows the promotion of Xbox head Phil Spencer to Microsoft's senior leadership team, which he deemed "a great show of commitment" to its gaming portfolio.

Man I hope they don't take Valve, I don't want MS doing anything dumb with Steam.

So my son is having problems using a headset. We have two controllers, both with the headphone jack on the bottom. Now it’s having a hard time detecting the headset. It’ll work for a few minutes then drop out. Does the same thing with both controllers. We even went and bought a new headset, but the problem persists. I also tried using compressed air on the controller, but that didn’t help either. I also made sure the system and the controllers were updated.

Any ideas? Playing Fortnite without being able to chat is horrifying to him...

So it seems that the headphone jack on both controllers is broken. I bought one of the chat headsets that uses the other connector on the controller, and it works fine. He's not really that hard on his stuff, so those 3.5mm jacks must be pretty fragile.

The counterpoint I've read to all of this is that a massive corporation like Microsoft is technically always "considering" acquiring different companies. They do internal reports, cost risk assessment, ROI predictions, all that crap... all for something that's possible but not necessarily likely. My employer does this, too.

I wouldn't personally expect much to happen, but that's me.

I can't imagine a scenario where Valve would want to sell to MS. I do think they should partner in a way where your Steam library ports to Xbox One (if each game is compatible, of course), but even with that, there's no significant benefit to Valve. They tried their hand at "consoles" with the Steam Machines, and... are those even still a thing? I haven't heard about them in quite awhile now.

Yeah, this is not breaking news.

Polygon had a follow up article about the companies listed; the only one that seems somewhat realistic to me is PUBG Corp.

PUBG Corp seems like kind of a mess. They kind of just stumbled into a great game while messing around. I'd be surprised if they ever release another decent game.

Speaking of headphones, I got a hell of a deal on this item that Inwas unaware even existed. Best Buy was selling the Plantronics Rig 800 LX for half price for a few hours a couple of weeks ago, or $75. It is a really nice product. A wireless headset that comes with a USB dongle. It includes a code for the Dolby Atmos for Headphones app that makes a really good 3D effect with any headset on either the Xbox One or the PC. A nice alternative to wired headphones if you were looking for one, even at MSRP.

Re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

I've been thinking about getting an Elite controller. But once I started looking around they were sold out pretty much everywhere (Amazon, Walmart, MS store, etc). So I started doing some digging and it looks like there might be a new one coming out this year. I guess that would explain why stores are not getting new stock in.

Damn, they are charging $70 for the Duke wired controller? That seems nuts.

Sea of Thieves Controller to be Joined By Matching Hard Drive and Display Stands

As well as the controller itself, you'll also be able to purchase a matching Controller Gear Limited Edition Sea of Thieves Controller Stand one of which is a simple Special Edition Xbox One Controller Stand V2.0 for displaying the controller, while the other is an Xbox Pro Charging Stand so you can display it and charge the batteries at the same time.

The non-charging stand will retail for $14.99, while the Xbox Pro Charging Stand will set you back $49.99. Both launch on 19th February. Last, but by no means least, is the Seagate 2TB Game Drive, available on 20th March for $89.99 in the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany.

These accessories will all be available alongside the Sea of Thieves Limited Edition controller for $74.99 with a Ferryman outfit for use in the game when it launches on 20th March 2018.

I'm still wondering if this controller has the rubber grips that the lunar white one does.

For $75 it should. Of course they all should have them at this point. Why go backwards?

So they can charge extra for it in their "Design Lab"?
