That's for physical orders. If you pre-order digitally, you'll get Stick of Truth digitally instantly on PS4, uPlay, and Steam. Also, the digital offer extends to after the game is released, it's not just pre-orders. Details vary between platforms

I wish Gamers Club Unlocked worked for digital downloads in some manner. I prefer digital but hard spending an extra $12 for it.

I actually got my pre-order in today online at Bestbuy. Couldn't pass up the 10 dollar reward certificate and getting the Stick of Truth download included. I want to replay the first one again but can't bring myself to the slog of playing games on the PS3 again.

you know i preordered digital from Amazon, but no where does it say Stick of Truth for free. i really hope that is an oversight and i do get a code for TSoT.

it actually says this: "If you decide to buy South Park: The Fractured But Whole digitally after the release (October 2017) from either PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, Steam or other eligible PC digital stores*, you will receive South Park The Stick of Truth immediately as download unlock for your platform." @ Ubisoft.

does that mean preorder digital doesn't include SoT and i have to wait till release day to purchase?

He says he pre-ordered digital from Amazon (thus no box).

I imagine if you pre-ordered digital from Amazon though you will get a code from Amazon, and probably redeeming the code will count as "purchasing" the game from XBL or PSN, which will then unlock the download of both games.

You can download SOT immediately if you purchase directly from XBL or PSN, but if you buy digital from Amazon, XBL/PSN does not know that you purchased it until you redeem the code.

Anyone ever order for shipping from BB? Do they offer release date guarantee? Mine says not showing up until Thurs. That is sort of bullshit. When I did pre-order, it only gave me option to ship, not pick up in store.

I did... I had a tracking email come out two days ago. I hope it arrives today as that's the policy I signed up for... but I won't lose sleep over it since I have no time to game tonight.

Is Stick of Truth backwards compatible on Xbox One? I have the 360 disc version which I never finished. I should go back to it.

I feel like it is a great continuation of the series. I also never thought I would see anal beads used as a weapon in a video game. Hoping they can squeeze one more South Park game out before they call it a wrap.

Wrapped it up last night. 19 hours to do everything in the game. Great stuff. Wicked difficulty curve in the third act though, even with maxed gear.

I'm about 25 hours in and almost finished. Day 3 was definitely challenging, but not too bad with the right team.

While this game is infinitely more polished than the previous game, and it's great fun, I don't think it's as good as Stick of Truth. That game had so many absurd plot points and laugh out loud moments. This has some great stuff too, and it's better weaved through the game itself, it's just not as funny. Hard to live up to the original, but it's pretty close.

I'm just about through this, but I think I'm going to give up due to bugs . The game locked up or just quit with an error message a handful of times during the brunt of my playthrough. I'm now on what I think has to be one of the final handful of encounters and it's locked up on me four times, all after getting the boss down to ~25% of his health. I've tried changing up my team, using different powers, etc. and it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's too bad. I would say the writing & jokes aren't quite as strong as Stick of Truth, but it's close and the combat feels significantly improved. I'd set it aside and come back to it, but between the pile of shame and fall lineup of releases, I know I'd never get around to revisiting it. I'll probably just trade it in to Best Buy for credit to use whatever week they do their B2G1 sale this year.
