I have an external hard drive that I want to use for Gamepass. It's NTSF. I formatted it to 2k cluster size, but when I try to install to it it says it cannot be used because cluster size is over 4. I've tried everything.

Do you mean your internet service is too slow, or specifically your wifi signal can't handle it. Because there's other options for connecting an XB1 to your modem/router.

Yeah, it's sad the 1$ deal is gone, but it actually stayed around, and was much more open, than I ever expected it to. I'm still surprised they're not including a 2 week or 1 month code in new consoles, or with a controller, or whatever. IIRC many of those codes were for first time subscribers only, which I think is fair.
So - Ubisoft Plus, or whatever it's called.
I actually own and enjoy a lot of Ubisoft games, so I can see a value there. However, for the price, on top of GPU (admittedly subbed at various discounts due to deals), and with some Ubisoft games included, I'm not really interested in subbing to this one at this time. I hope publishers don't start carving out their games from GP so we have a dozen of these subscription services offered. Sort of like streaming networks, seems like saturation point has almost been reached. Also I hope the current Ubisoft games don't leave GP.
That said, historically, Ubisoft games have tended to drop in price reasonably quick and often, so on first thought I'd rather buy a game for fifteen bucks than access it through a sub for 18. I tend to know if I'll like a Ubisoft game or not, it's not like trying stuff I've never heard of from Gamepass. I don't want to have to have multiple monthly subscriptions, although even with the subs it's cheaper than buying a full price game a month, especially as base retail goes up to 70 bucks or more.
Anyway -
U+ is not for me right now, I'll follow it, I wish it was part of GP (would prefer Ubi's library in GP than EAs, actually), and I hope it doesn't mean Ubisoft games won't drop in price like they have been the last couple years.
I opened up Loop Hero to "check it out for a few minutes" the other day and ended up playing for 2 1/2 hours. It might not have dozens of hours of replayability in it, but I'll give it at least that much time again to build my village up some more. One of the first things I did though was speed up travel and combat a lot, since there's literally almost nothing to do hands-on during those other than equipping stuff or fleeing.

I'm also a big fan of most Ubisoft games but there's no way I'm paying $18/ month right now for this service. If it was $10, probably.

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
I just finished Far Cry 4 and recently played AC Syndicate and AC Odyssey, so I’m the target audience, but yeah, not for $18. Maybe if you’re buying gold/deluxe/ultimate editions right out of the gate, but you’ll notice I just mentioned Far Cry 4. And I already own most AC games except Valhalla.
I agree that it’d be a bummer if that means not including stuff in Game Pass. They have FC5 now and I was assuming that’s how I’d eventually play FC6.

Should've been $10 basic = base game no DLC
$18 Premium = all DLC
I rarely play tve extra stuff and for $10 it be nice to play launch games.

Tips on getting Forza Horizon 5 to start? I have it on the main C drive, SSD. I press play on the XBOX app, nothing happens. I have it run on administrator on Windows 7 compatibility mode (and have Windows 8 and regular compatibility). I get the first screen, it logs in, then the smaller second screen, then nothing.
I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 8-core, Windows 11, 32gig RAM, with an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
Chicory is now up on Game Pass.
Here's some titles announced for the first half of June.
They usually drop some higher profile titles around the time of their showcase, so we should see something interesting in a week or two.
Titles leaving June 15:
I'm going to try to put some time into Chorus before it goes.
As for the new/returning titles, Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer is a kind of spin-off from Hypnospace Outlaw, so it makes sense that they'd bring HO back for a bit.
I've heard good things about Stacking, The Big Con, and Dordogne.
Busy month for indies... not so much for big games, for now...
Here's some titles announced for the first half of June.
Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 1

Hustle your way across '90s America as a runaway teen con artist. Choose who to grift and how to make your scratch as you sneak around, don disguises, and pick pockets in this comedic crime adventure. Ride the radical '90s wave in all its plaid and payphone glory! Do crime, make money, and have fun.
Amnesia: The Bunker (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 6

So, someone school my dumbass on how xbox live works. My subscription expired yesterday for xbox live/ultimate. I checked my Microsoft account online and it shows nothing active. I put in Modern Warfare 2 and was able to play online - then remembered it's free. I put in GTA online to test, no issues there either.
What exactly do I need a membership for?? I don't care about any of the games that get released on game pass at all.
Are all online portion of games free to play online now??

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
As I understand, you don't need it for free-to-play games. GTA online shouldn't have worked. Have you tried launching a GamePass game? If GP game launches then your live account is still active.
