As if there were any other sort of games coming to Game Pass in the next year.

Yes, independent darling… Need For Speed.

people keep saying Bramble is supposed to be good. I’ll check it out. Semi-related, but I quite enjoyed Ravenlok which came out about a month ago. Apparently they added harder difficulties since then.

Xbox Games with Gold for July announced.

While not my type of game, the survival horror game Darkwood has gotten some good reviews.

Wow this is a really great price on a terrific headset. Battery last forever on that one. I hate that it doesn't mute the audio output when you turn it on (unlike Sony's first-party model), but otherwise it's really nice and what a deal.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Weird, that has been a feature for Xbox for a long time for me (probably from a pre-alpha build a couple years ago.)

Works fine with all my other headsets, not sure why it doesn't work with this one.

Well this prompted me to Google and it turns out, it's just an advanced setting.

Xbox gets over 1300 retro games with "biggest content drop in history" (trueachievements.com)

The Antstream Arcade catalog of retro games from the 80s, 90s, and 00s will be available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on 21 July, and is available to preorder now.

Antstream Arcade is a cloud gaming streaming service with "the world's largest official retro gaming catalog of games" and brings over 1,300 retro games to Xbox such as Pac-Man and Metal Slug. "The platform supports instant cloud game saves, online high scores and resume play features across multiple devices."

You can preorder Antstream Arcade from today on the Microsoft Store — a year's subscription costs $29.99/£29.99 while a Lifetime Pass Edition is up for $79.99/£79.99.

Xbox Gold goes from barely trying with free games to no longer trying at all.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Including 25 game pass games is actually kind of interesting… but it obviously depends on what kind of titles they’ll be. I think the current game pass offering is something like 250-300 games, so if ‘core’ rotate through that, I could see it being useful for folks who don’t want to pay for GP or GPU.

The next tier is only $1 more. Can't imagine anyone thinking Core is worth it but Console isn't.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Yeah I don't think I'm upping it again. I looked back and I haven't played a game in Ubisoft+, Gamepass, or EA Play Pro that I have liked. I have Starfield, Dead Island 2 Gold, and Baldur's Gate III on my wishlist and will keep playing Speedstorm until I get sales on them. Got a $25 MS Giftcard that will further ease the blow. If Starfield is $50 within a year that would bring it down to $25. Those are games that could get me a couple of years of gaming combined and max price (which I'm not paying) is $240.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Does anyone use a wireless headset for Series X/S that also works with PS5? Considering an alternative to turning the late-night audio down to barely audible levels but would rather not buy two headsets.

I have the PS4 wireless headset and plug it into my Xbox controller. So….errr, wireless for one console, semi-wireless for the other.

Microsoft’s wireless headset was down to $50 last week. :/

Glad you posted this, was going to do the same. There are some cool games in here for sure and I'll be interested to see how many more they actually add.

Core includes online play but Console doesn't, so depending on what types of games someone prefers, Core could make more sense.
