Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

i had sent the $8 request to the three depts. that brentl did, and after being rejected by the first one, i just checked and they said that they would 'make an exception' and they applied the $8 credit, which brings my total down to $24.98.

i am debating whether or not i want to resend the DISNEYBD coupon request to the three depts. or not, or make a phone call with the reason that i was talking about earlier? hmm.....

I got a quick reply but they rejected taking the $8 off. May try calling customer service to see what happens.

Don't call.

Just send the email a few times to the following three departments - promotions, refunds, and general questions.

People actually are willing to buy the digital copy discs? On Ebay or some place like that?

My thoughts as well lizard. If I can sell them I'll pull each and every one I have and offer them to whoever would actually be willing to buy them. They're worthless to me.

Fair Warning: I've contacted Amazon through several different departments and informed them of the cheating, swindling, and manipulating going on here and on other blu-ray forums, with people getting promotions applied that should not, discounts they havent earned, coupons, multiple "just this once" exceptions... They said they WILL be investigating the situation and taking action accordingly; be it cancellations, charge adjustments, possible bans, etc.

Hey, if I can't get 2 BD's for $12 or $.46 or whatever, nobody should! They should be fair to everyone!

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Ok, so, I admit I was biding my time to see how the deals would fall out. But I'm trying to print off the Monsters, Inc. $8 coupon and I've tried on 2 different computers in 2 different browsers. I've even checked the HTML code. But it seems to me that the DisneyMovieRewards coupon link DOES NOT WORK. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

I have seriously never emailed Amazon as much as I have in the past few days with this and these price adjustments. Star Trek dropped another buck and Watchmen Ultimate Cut dropped to 30.99. These deals are fast and furious. And yes I mailed about the new $8 coupon . . . we'll see . . .

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Here's my last ditch effort to get Amazon to make good with the ill-gotten coupons-

I would like to know why Amazon has decided to play favorites. You won't cough up any discounts for me, but for this guy named Brent from South Carolina, you're willing to practically give it away for free. This is an outrage. If you don't apply these coupons posthaste, rest assure that I will contact my State Attorney General, the BBB and my personal attorney regarding this matter. I will also tell everyone within earshot to avoid Amazon and their favoritism business practices.

What do you think?

EDIT: BTW, not to be confused with Killjoy(if he's telling the truth, he picked a perfect user name), I'm just kidding!

I've also been unable to print the coupon, so I emailed their customer service yesterday, and haven't received a reply yet.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

My last email from Amazon said that they are sorry about not notifying me of the change of delivery date and that not shipping my release to me so I would get it on the release date and that they would understand if I cancelled my order.

Thought so considering you had a smiley in the other post at the top. Just so you know, I wasn't directing my comment to you.

If people are seriously upset about this, well there have been plenty of deals I didn't get in on either. Your day will come around. it always happens. You can't be in on them all.

BTW, I just got shot down for the $8 Monsters Inc.

Nobody is scamming Amazon. We're just asking(in a polite manner) if they will apply these coupons to our order. It's up to them whether they will or they won't apply these coupons. Being a nuisance by sending multiple refund requests doesn't equate to scamming them.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

These guys are all over the place!

I just got another coupon applied for DISNEYBD (-$10.00) which would have brought my order down to $14.98. However, they reapplied the shipping charges again because the order is below $25. So now I am at $18.45.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Second time was the charm on $8 Monsters Inc. coupon! I'm pretty sure Killjoy is joking, if not, his claims of Amazon "investigating" seem pretty silly. No one forced any of their CSRs to hand out a single discount or price adjustment. We all simply inquired politely. There was certainly no fraud on our end, merely excellent and/or confused customer service on theirs.

Thank you for the fair warning. Please don't report me.

As a mea culpa, or fair warning (however you wish to look at it), I contacted the White House informing them that you showed me the error of my ways and for them to exact a new economic policy that does not support competitive pricing, enterprising individuals, and good customer service that will do what it takes to make a sale. They said they WILL be investigating this situation and will take action accordingly: they should be knocking on your door soon. They must be really happy with your ideas because they said this fell under the Patriot Act, so you sir Patriot, we salute you.

That's funny. So is the forum software smart enough to know who does a second account like that? Registering with the same email?

I'm hoping we can just ignore him so the thread doesn't turn to Poopland.

Most forums track members by the IP address, I'm sure that's what caught that joker.

Back at ya...

I haven't had a really good crazy deal like this in a long time, I've missed out of tons of them for a while now, so it's good to be back in on something like this.
