-------------------
First Transaction (anytime before Sept 20th):
$10 Tinker Bell preorder

Second Transaction (when Tinker bell is released Sept 21):
$25 Tinker Bell
$5 Beauty and the Beast preorder
-10 TinkerBell coupon
-10 Tinker Bell deposit
-10 preorder discount *this is save $10 on any Disney BD/DVD when you pre-order B&tB*
--------------------------------
=0 plus get a $10 giftcard for Tinker Bell preorder

Third Transaction (when Beauty and the Beast is released on Oct 5):
25 Beauty and the Beast
$5 preorder Toy Story
-10 disney coupon (already available from DMR--see separate thread)
-10 preorder discount *this is save $10 on any Disney BD/DVD when you pre-order TS3*
-5 Beauty and Beast deposit
------------------------------------------
=$5

Fourth Transacation (when Toy Story 3 is released on Nov 2)::
$25 Toy Story
-10 disney coupon (will release the same week as the movie)
-5 Toy Story deposit
----------------------------------
=$10 apply giftcard from Second Trans =0

so $10 + 0 + $5 + 0=$15 for all 3 movies

credit goes to bryman00000 and savingeye on SD.
CAG had another option. People over there say they have had no problems stacking the BATB and TS3 preorder deals. So it would look like this if Tink was $30:

$10 down for Tinkerbell preorder (-10). Then on pickup day,

$5 down for BATB (-$15)
$5 down for TS3 (-$20)
$20 balance for Tink (-$40)
-$10 BATB preorder deal (-$30)
-$10 TS3 preorder deal (-$20)
-$10 mfr coupon (-$10)
and you get a $10 TRU gift card when pickup Tink

So for a $10 preorder outlay you get the Tink BD, a $10 gift card and have $5 on BATB and TS3 preorders. Even if you threw the preorders in the garbage, you spend 10 bucks for Tink BD and $10 GC. And that is if Tink is $30. If it is $25 you do even better.

As complicated as this seems, it looks like it's worth the leg work to get in on these crazy deals. Thanks for the info Corvin and SoonerDoc.

But if it is less than 30, you will likely end up with a negative balance, and I highly doubt that they will hand you cash out of the register in addition to your gift card and BD, so part of your coupon will go to waste, unless you just throw something else on the order so you don't end up in the negative.

Plus, if you actually want BATB and TS3, the first deal is better, because with this deal, even if you have $10 coupons for both BATB and TS3 + your Tink Gift card, you're going to owe a minimum of another $10 (assuming they are $25 each, 25+25-10-10-10-5-5=10), so you come out 5 dollars behind the other deal.

Also, on another note... anybody know if TRU has any pre-order deals for Fantasia and/or A Christmas Carol yet?

OK, thanks, I hadn't seen that. In that case, the deal outlined above by Micheal Corvin, is indeed correct, with a total outlay of $15 for all three movies if followed as described.

Personally, I think B&TB and TS3 will be $30, not $25, as even J&TGP was $30 at TRU. I could maybe see TB at $25, as it's not quite as premium a title as the other two.

P.S. - It should be stressed that even if you have already pre-ordered B&TB and used up the discount (I have), you should pre-order it again when you pick up TB next week, as on that day, $5 spent will get you $10 off. Even if you toss the card(s) on your way out, it's money wisely spent.

In the 9/5 - 9/11 TRU Ad Tinkerbell and Beauty and the Beast are listed as being 29.99 each:

Logic would also dictate pre-ordering TS3 a second time when picking up B&TB...Spend $5 to get another $10 off.

$30 for Tinker Bell??? I thought this was DTV...those perfidious bastards! OK, so now that we know the price for all three titles will be $30, we can update MC's excellent legwork:

First Transaction (anytime before Sept 20th):
Tinker Bell preorder deposit: $10.00

Second Transaction (when Tinker Bell is released Sept 21):
Tinker Bell Blu-ray Combo $30.00
B&TB preorder deposit $5.00
DMR coupon $10.00
Tinker Bell deposit (from above) $10.00
Preorder discount (when you preorder B&TB) $10.00
--------------------------------
Total for movie + $10 GC: $5.00

Third Transaction (when B&TB is released on Oct 5):
B&TB Blu-ray Combo $23.00
TS3 preorder deposit $5.00
B&TB deposit (from above) $5.00
DMR coupon $10.00
Preorder discount (when you preorder TS3) $10.00
---------------------------------
Total for movie: $3.00

Fourth Transaction (when TS3 is released on Nov 2):
Toy Story 3 Blu-ray Combo $30.00
DMR coupon (presumed) $10.00
TS3 deposit $5.00
GC from Second Transaction $10.00
----------------------------------
Total for movie: $5.00

GRAND TOTAL for 3 MOVIES: $23.00

Re: No Tinkerbell coupon from Disney?

Thanks for the update Buck. $30 for all three is fine by me. However, you might be able to toss that $5 coupon in that KenBenobi posted for TinkerBell. Stacking at TRU has never been a problem before, so it should knock that down to $0 for TB, and $25 total.

Also it wasn't my legwork, that credit goes to SD. I just updated some of the info.

Only if you've already blown your $10 on another purchase. If the TS3 preorder is the same as B&TB preorder, you can only take advantage of "Save $10" at the time you preorder. So, if you haven't preordered TS3 yet, it's wisest to wait until you pick up your B&TB to maximize savings (assuming you actually want both of these titles).

I think you missed my point. If you pre-order both B&TB and TS3 when picking up TB (saving $20 on TB for the two pre-orders) you should pre-order TS3 a second time when picking up B&TB to net another $5 savings (even if you throw away the pre-order card as others have said).

That is true (no pun intended). That coupon is good through 9/26, so it should work just fine on TB. Perhaps others will be released to coincide with the other titles.

Oh, I see. I'm not sure they would let you apply both $10 credits to the same item though......YMMV.

Edit: Also, an extra $10 toward TB, would net you a "profit", and that might be a problem with the retailer.

See post 26. This method would not net a profit on TB.

This would be a better deal if you want the ironbook pack from Best Buy for BATB or if some other place has better deal on BATB or TS3. You wouldn't be locked into getting those movies at TRU if someone else has a better deal or better bonus. $10 cash for Tink BD and $10 gift card...basically getting Tink for free. Some on CAG have even talked about returning the preorder (just getting the $20 off Tink), but I don't think that is right as that amounts to stealing from the store. To each his own.

^ Yea, the only possible issue I could see with that approach is they may not allow you to "double up" both pre-order credits on the same item. They might try to enforce $10 off one, $10 off another.

Re: No Tinkerbell coupon from Disney?

Amazon credited me $10 for Tinker Bell. I only have to pay $1.99 shipped.

Hello,

I'm sorry this promotion wasn't applied to your order.

To correct this error, I've reduced the cost of your order by $10 and applied the promotional credit to your order #xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx.

I hope this solution works for you. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Re: No Tinkerbell coupon from Disney?

I don't think we know the price for sure, yet. I think I read over at SD, somewhere, that they called TRU and they said it was going to be $24.99. That's still possible even though the last week's ad said $29.99 as they could have changed the first week price since that ad was printed or the $29.99 is going to be the regular price and it may be cheaper the first week. At least that ad, though, should guarantee a $29.99 price at the most.

However, does TRU price match as Target has it listed at $22.99? I know they used to. But even then, I'm not sure if they would pricematch plus do all the discounts.

Re: No Tinkerbell coupon from Disney?

How about $7.99 for the Tink 3 combo.

$22.99 Tink 3 BD at Target
- 5.00 Target Coupon (Radio Disney Coupon Giveaway)
-10.00 DMR Coupon
$7.99

You're paying 15 actually, as you have to pay that $10 pre-order up front. So 10 ahead of time, $5 at time of pickup.

Shit! I went to cancel the Amazon order and they're already preparing it to ship to me at $13. Looks like there's nothing I can do now. Who the hell prepares to ship a Tuesday release on Friday morning? I might have to call them

How did you get them to credit you $10, iNCREDiPiNOY?
