Take a look at my Post #35. I worked this up on an Excel spreadsheet. It seems to make the most sense for someone who will be buying the 3 pending Disney Blu-ray combos at TRU. There are a few additional curve-balls, such as the $5 TRU coupon later in the thread, but this approach looks solid at $30 for all three titles.

P.S. - Red text is negative, i.e., money spent, and black text is credit back to you.

I'm going to bet there's going to be problems considering the text at the bottom tells the cashier to scan the coupon (on the front of the B&tB card) when you pick up B&tB.

Wait, nevermind. You can't use the $10 discount at time of pickup for B&tB. It says at the top, "Offer ends 10/4/10".

What did you email them? I tried calling to ask them to take off the Disney coupons and they said they don't accept them. I also can't preorder the 3 movies and use the Amazon promotion of $10 off preorder twice. Even tho it doesn't say one per customer. She tried to use the $10 off twice and it didn't work.

I'm currently hours away from any stores to buy these. The only way I can try to get this deal is by ordering online and I can't seem to get anyone to accept Disney's coupons.

I think I've figured out a way to still get a deal without preordering TB. It's not as good as what has been posted but still better than nothing.

The subject is "Isn't It Time You Got Rewarded?" It's good for any Disney Bluray or DVD.

"Promotion expires 30 days from coupon print date and no later than 7/31/11."

Probably won't work for you kenbenobi - I found my email with that subject line from back at end of June. Tried link and got this - "There are no prints available for this campaign.". Looks like it died.

I had to go to the manager to use the Disney coupon because you can't use it once they ring up the gift card. Remember to ask the cashier to use the coupons first. They would not take my $5 off $19.99 because the total was less than 19.99. I think it might have worked though if the lady had actually scanned them.

My receipt looks odd though. It looks like I somehow got $30 off tinkerbell without using the coupon, but the total doesn't reflect it.

So your total out of pocket was $5.85? And is the $5 coupon you're referring to actually the $5 off $25 coupon?

They had lots of issues ringing mine in (coupon + 2 preorders/discount)--finally did some kind of manual override and got the TB, the two preorders, the watch and a $9.99 GC for the $10 I originally paid. Pretty good for 1 cent. I think that's the most I've paid for any of the three TB blus at TRU!

Hmm, I wonder what "Refund Price 0.01" means. If you return TB3, you only get back $0.01?

So, my TRU (Livingston NJ) officially sucks! Everything was cool until I handed the woman my DMR coupon. She said "I'm sorry. We only accept manufacturer's coupons from TRU and KRU. It's in our SOP's. That coupon isn't from Disney. It's from Ecoupons (or coupons.com)." I asked if it was a store policy or a company-wide policy. She said it was company-wide.

So, I cancelled my BatB pre-order and kept my TB3 pre-order. I'll seek out another store and see if they'll accept it. Otherwise, I will never buy another thing from TRU and I'll take my business elsewhere.

This happened to me when PatF came out. And, I think it was the same woman (electronics department manager behind their counter). I bet if I was able to take it to a regular cashier, everything would've been fine.

Disaster for me.

When the pre-orders were rung up with the Disney coupon, the Gift Card would not come up. The clerk called for the manager. When he got there, he stonewalled the entire purchase, saying that you cannot combine all of these together. When I pointed out each "promotion" was independent of the others and the coupon was a Manufacturer's Coupon, he said *HE* had the final say and his answer was NO! I decided to refund the pre-order and get it from Target using the $10 Disney coupon and Target $5 coupon for $7.99, or $9.34 with tax.

Another person was there with the same plan. He refunded his pre-order as well.

I went to TRU yesterday to preorder Tink3. Used the $5 off $25 coupon and the $10 deposit to my advanage. Printed up 3 disney upgrade coupons. TRU had only one of the three. One Ratatouille left. Was $29.99 + TB3 deposit, it's now $39.99. Used the $8 upgrade coupon and the $5 off $25. Ratatouille cost me $16.99 + $10.00 for the deposit.




Because the Tink3 is $29.99-$30.00 from $10 deposit, $10 DMR coupon and $10 BatB preorder savings. Equals $.01 refund.

I went and picked up mine using the BatB preorder and the person behing the register didn't understand it at first. The manager came over and said that the $10 had already been taken off automatically for Tink3 when she scanned it. They took $10 off from the DMR coupon. They couldn't take the $5 off $25. With the BatB pre-order came to $4.99 plus tax. My receipt shown I paid $11.07. Had to go to manager and get $5.33 refunded.

I was going to used the BatB deposit to my advantage to get another BD to use the $5 off $25 coupon and a Wall-e $8 coupon. I got to TRU and all, but 3 of their Blu-rays were taken off the shelf. Only Prince of Persia and Toy Story 1 & 2 remained. Manager said the people upstairs is taking them off the market. She said that they hadn't been sent back and they still had Wall-e 2-disc. But it was priced at $29.99, so I passed on it.

You should take that down and black out certain info like your rewards number and the receipt bar code. Not sure whether TRU accepts copies of receipts for returns but someone may take yours and return the preorder, effectively canceling it.
