Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

I finally found a copy of Fantasia on Blu and walked out paying about $15 each for it and SA. Not a great deal, but OK.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

Thanks to tips from folks here (and the coupons of course), I picked up both titles at a Michigan Target on the weekend for the standard $18+ with no hassle whatsoever at the register. After I've watched it, selling off Sorcerer's Apprentice back here in Canada -- where $24.99 for either title was the lowest possible price one could achieve with the coupons -- for likely two to three times what I paid for it sweetens the deal that much further.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

I'd requested the coupon be mailed to me since I couldn't print it, being out of ink. It still hasn't arrived. Not a big deal since this wasn't an important release for me anyway, but I'm greatly disappointed that Disney would drop the ball like this.

To be fair, it's coupons.com and not Disney that is having the problems.

You make a good point. Disney should be aware that Coupons.com has not represented them as well as we (and probably they) expected.

If a store takes the coupons, it takes the coupons. If this is wrong, it falls to Disney and Coupons.com to implement a system that eliminates such loopholes (were these even loopholes?), not to the consumer to refrain from seeing how much they can save in an upfront manner. I can only speak for myself, but if the particular store I visited had turned down the second Fantasia coupon, I would not have protested because the savings would still have been substantially larger than anything I'd have received in Canada. Disney won't eliminate these programs. Employing tighter controls and better software to level the playing field for all consumers would be best. I'd have been satisfied with a simple $10 discount off the American in-store prices of either of these titles, but presented with an opportunity to reduce the price further, and without conflict, who'd honestly resist?

I was one of many who had an awful, frustrating time trying to get any of the coupons to simply print. It would be nice if Coupons.com was compatible with all browsers, instead letting users figure that out after they'd been denied the deal as a result of following instructions.

Don't they expire on the 7th (i.e. today)?

I tried to explain that it was a legitimate coupon from Disney themselves, and the only reason the website appeared "weird" was that you had to follow a link and download a special printer driver from Disney. He interrupted me and said "We choose which coupons we accept and which ones we don't. We're not taking the coupon." I didn't have any other options at that point, so I just bought it for $28.68. I'll write a bitchy email to corporate, and hopefully get a partial refund.
Best Buy called me back today to apologize, and they're sending me a $20 gift card.
