Not even worth it for the stuff that is in stock, unless it is a combo with shipping, 30% or say B2G1$ typically the shipping will kill any deal like the one they have today.

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

The sale is indeed 40% any Used blu-ray AND B1G1 for $1. I was able to get

Clash of the Titans
Daybreakers
A Single Man
Alice in Wonderland
The Road
Where the Wild Things Are

for about $29 after tax.

What sale is 40 percent off blus? The last code I see is for ten percent off.

Sounds like in-store only. I hate not living by a gohastings any more.

On that note, I hate not having a gohastings by me either. What a great deal.

I got in on this sale at a store here in Lake Jackson, Tx. I asked at first cause it was so rare for them to have sale on Blus to begin with and on top of that 40%? Okay, I'm in.

Got the following:
Iron Man 2 $19.99
Despicable Me $19.99
Robin Hood (2010) $19.99
Bloodsport/TimeCop $12.99

So....40% each made IM2 and DM 11.99 a piece and then with the buy 1, get 1 for $1, made RH and Bloodsport $1 a piece. So for $25.98 + tax, I got 4 pretty awesome blus. Plus Despicable Me and Robin Hood had their digital copies which was a little surprising since those come in a little sleeve. Plus, we also took advantage of their cd sales as well as their 5 for $20 book sale. All in all, we walked out of Hastings with roughly $360 bucks of merchandise for $100 (plus I had a $25 gc from Christmas, so only $75 out of pocket).

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I couldn't resist and went back again tonight. I picked up Once Upon A Time In America and The Perfect Storm blu-rays for $9.74 out the door. I think the employees knew this sale was going to happen because a lot of titles I saw earlier in the week were gone by the time of this sale like The Town and Scott Pilgrim.

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I was able to pick up a few movies. I was hoping for Iron Man 2, Star Trek or Despicable Me, but they had none of those. They did have plenty of Robin Hood, but my wife refuses to watch it, so I figured I would never have the time to watch it, anyway so since I didn't have much money I passed. I did pick up 4 movies for $18.

Blind Side
District 9
Valentine's Day
Leap Year

District 9 was only $8.99 before the discounts, which I was surprised about. They had a few copies and only one of them was $8.99. But it didn't matter since the other movies were $12.99, so it just ended up being the $1 copy. I barely got Blind Side as there was one copy when I first looked, but I took my 2 yo son to the book section as he was getting bored looking at the movies, and I needed time to think about what I wanted. When I went back it was gone, but I ended up finding it in a set of blus in other part of the store. I thought about getting Where the Wild Things Are since it was only $10.99, but I didn't really care for that movie. At the checkout counter they had several movies for $9.99. That's where I found Valentine's Day and Leap Year. However, they wouldn't ring up 40% off. I think it was because they were clearance rentals instead of used. The cashier said I could still have the B1G1 on them. But there was a used copy of Valentine's Day sitting there, too, so I went back and grabbed it (which was better since their rental copy had a big white rental label on the cover). It rang up at $7.79 (after 40% off), and he ended up giving me Leap Year for $1 since he had already rung it up that way before taking off the $9.99 V-Day. I thought I'd give them to my wife for Valentine's Day She liked Gary Marshal (she got to meet him several years ago since her parents knew his mother-in-law) and she wants to try and collect Amy Adams mvoies, so they were both good gifts for her.

BTW, this sale is very rare for Hasting's in-store, so for those without one nearby, you're probably not missing out on much. They're prices in-store are usually way more than their website. The one near me, at least, used to be a great place to go for used movies, but now they usually charge $20 for a used blu-ray. They may have decent deals on their DVDs, though, but I stopped buying those when I went blu (except for a random DVD of JuneBug just to get that Amy Adams movie in our collection. It was cheap, and I figured it would never come out on blu, plus we just wanted it for our collection and probably won't watch it).

re: Hastings / gohastings.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

The GoHastings near me had the b1g1 for $1, but nothing about an extra 40% off Blu's. I picked up Kick-Ass which had a $9.99 sticker that rang up as marked, and I asked the price of Scott Pilgrim which was marked $19.99 but came up as $11.99. Maybe it was 40% off? But Kick-ass rang up as stickered...

I would have gotten several more titles if I had known it was an extra 40%, but I can't be entirely certain it was.

You should of paid $11.99 for Scott Pilgrim and then $1 for Kick-Ass. It's 40% off the more expensive title and then $1 for part of the B1G1 for $1 thing. I also saw on the twitter where this sale has been extended until Monday.

Yeah I did... I was just commenting on the price they rang up (before the disc was discounted to $1). Maybe I'll go check the store today and see if they've marked the blu's 40% off. That'll entice me to pick up another 2 at least.

Check the price sticker on Kick-Ass to see if it says "Used" or "Clearance Rental". The "Clearance Rental" movies weren't coming up 40% off. There were several movies with a red sale price sticker on them for $9.99 and they came up $9.99. I'm pretty sure it was because they weren't considered "used". Underneath the $9.99 sticker, it said $18.99, though. so it could have been that the $9.99 was cheaper than 40% the $18.99 price. It looks like your Scott Pilgrim rang up correctly, though. As for Kick-Ass ringing up $1, that's up to the cashier, as they enter that price manually. My cashier had no problems with ring them a clearance rental up at $1. If it didn't ring up for $1, you might want to take it back and ask about it.

I know they're extending the 40% off until Monday since it's part of the 2-day sale, but what about the B1G1 for $1? That was part of the week's sale, so may not be extended.

The cashier manually entered the $1 for Kick-Ass. He actually almost didn't until I reminded him it was B1G1 for $1. Also thanks for the tip on the sticker denotation- I wasn't aware of it. I'm actually visiting family in Arkansas, and the Hastings here is the only one I know of. I always make it a point to stop by it though, as it seems I get better deals on used media at Hastings then many other stores.

I hope they extend the B1G1 sale though. I'll see if I can't stop by there today and see what's going on.

They should give you the 40% off as it is part of their advertised sale. My store ran both sales. 40% off if I got one blu-ray or the B1g1 if I got two.

Ok, so I just got back. I mixed and matched "used" with "clearance rental" and the promotion worked. I got both b1G1 for $1 and 40% off.

Zombieland _________________$7.79
Youth in Revolt______________$1
Gran Torino_________________$7.79
Cujo_______________________$1
Survival of the Dead__________$10.19
