Even though my order deducted the 45% (Megaweekend code) off when I placed my order. I know see I was charged full price for all 3 used Bds I brought.
They charged me $23 more than they should of. Have not received them yet. But I will call Go Hastings Monday and see what the heck is going on. If they can not fix this, back they go.

I strongly encourage Hastings customers to beware of doing future business with them. I recently ordered a CD from them . It was a deluxe 2CD Set with a 30+ page booklet. When it arrived, it looked like a truck ran over it, the booklet was missing except for the last page which had been cut out with scissors and attached the very broken jewel case.

I called customer service, and at first they refused to take it back at all. After talking to a supervisor, they agreed to take it back EXCEPT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY RETURN SHIPPING. He told me this is their new return policy. According to their policy, ANY used product may not come in the original case or have any of the original booklets. If you receive a product without the original packaging, they will may not take it back and if they do, the customer must pay for return shipping. This same policy also applies to blu-rays.

Keep in mind, I have order from them probably 300 times over the last 3 years. That being said, I will NEVER order from them ever again.

its good to know. but really, if they have stated the policy upfront, it does give them the benefit of doubt to refuse returns. however, the product itself needs to be advertised as such - case in point, their previewed vs used BD discs, which use the same retail product packaging to advertise both. The former does not come with anything other than BD disc whereas the latter does. and there's no way of knowing it unless you read their product condition policy. but for the prices they provide and for what shipping companies charge you these days, you can imagine the damage caused to a retailer by returns. I am not taking their side, but you could imagine your own business of a similar kind and feel the heartache. Peace, brother

Thanks for the comments. The problem with this scenario is that they never state this restriction for their used products, only their PV discs. What they sent me was not even a close call, it was a piece of garbage and all they would do is repeat their policy, which is not at all clear on their website. The product was clearly incomplete and damaged, but all they gave me was attitude. I even checked their amazon page and the product was listed as "Very Good", which means no scratches, and all the original materials should be included and in very good condition.

They've had terrible quality control on their used products for years. I largely ignore GoHastings as a viable outlet these days. It's too much of a crapshoot ordering over the Internet.

recently, I ordered a couple of Criterion BD's (surprisingly my wishlist in stock) during their 40% off sale. Both were brand new with shrinkwrap (including the blue sticker on it from Criterion). I have not had the kind of rough experience that many others have experienced - but perhaps, it also because I never order DVD's and CD's. Both have a tremendous prospect of being damaged or scratched the hell out of. I only order Books and BD's and they have all been in great shape. ANd its been a while since I attempted to return anything, so yes, the experience is very mixed.

Buyer beware!

As a result of their recent return policy change, if you order a used blu-ray, DVD or CD and a disc, front cover or insert is missing, they will NOT send a return label anymore for a refund. This used to be the case with PV items only, but they have now expanded it to ANY product.

It happened to me yesterday, and even after talking to a supervisor at first they would not even take the item back. Then after arguing they agreed to take it back, but I would have to pay return shipping. Why would anyone want to order with that kind of risk? They no longer take responsibility for the quality of their product!

Definitely avoid used DVDs. GoHastings doesn't have much quality control and DVDs simply weren't built to handle average damage. I've had a little better luck with CDs, mostly I suspect because the demographic selling used CDs to them in the first place are older.

I always know I am taking chances with their inventory. I resell but not much. Now if I was a huge reseller I would worry. I understand your pain but gohastings.com is the best low end seller out their. Just beware. And sometimes you come out actually a winner.

Ordered DisneyNature Oceans BD/DVD Used disc from the previous sale - the set that arrived only had the BD and no DVD. Called today and they refunded the order no questions asked. My business with them will continue - owe it to Hastings for 500+ titles in my collection.

I got a personalized 10 off 25 code and can't find anything cheap enough that's in stock. Goofy store. I got a used dvd for $1 off them during a sale and the case was thrashed but the dvd was spotless, looked resurfaced though. Sloppy people make me sick.
