Re: MVD Shop sales thread
The ShawScope boxes receive some of my highest recommendations. Beautiful sets done with intelligence and pretty much everything one could ask for as a fan. I had been waiting decades for these films to get their proper due and treatment.

Man, how can you not pull the trigger on the ShawScope 2 box for that price?

There's more titles I want (Heart of Dragon and Millionaires' Express come to mind), but I'm cash poor till next Friday. Hope they're still on sale when I get paid again. But yeah, no way was I skipping that Shaw set. No way.

Severin flash sale at MVD, until April 15:
https://mvdshop.com/collections/severin-films
Note: some of these DVDs (and maybe a small batch of Blu-rays) are cheaper as part of the latest ‘new arrivals’ at Hamilton Books.

Re: MVD Shop sales thread
Good catch. I’ll also add that some of these prices are reminiscent of the sale at Grindhouse last year where I posted comparisons to a (concurrent?) sale at Severin’s own site, and Grindhouse generally won out, especially if you met the free ship threshold. No sale at Severin at the moment, so I can’t really compare this time. Frankly, their stuff rarely gets discounted across the board like it used to, but there might still be some deals to be scored ($110 for the Steckler set, for example, is as low as that ever goes).
