Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

I understand a little delay in shipping, but taking my order on the 8th and it still not shipping out by the 21st is unacceptable. They need to get on it.

I missed the 10 off coupon at Shouts so I bought My Bloody Valentine and Vampire Lovers for under 45 bucks shipped from Amazon instead.

It is closing in on where I'm actually going to be making a payment on the credit card used for this purchase without even having the items ship. They need to do something quickly. I ordered 5 titles and would like them before the year 3000.

I’m still waiting as well. For some reason it’s much more frustrating since the charge the card when the order is taken.

Mine hasn't shipped either. But I'll live. I've always felt that if you want something immediate, you buy it as soon as it's available. If you wait for a sale, then you can wait for delivery too.

I'm in no rush to receive what I ordered. However, I don't think my card should be charged until the merchandise ships.

I also don't like having something charged to my credit card and that charge being paid for before the item even ships. When you pay your balance, it makes it a bit harder to then try and reverse the charges if your stuff never ends up in your hands. A couple of weeks is plenty of time to get this stuff shipped out.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

Maybe Shout Factory! thinks social distancing applies to packages.

All I got.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

I think it's why Shout Factory doesn't run more direct sales - their online shop simply isn't set up to handle a massive volume of orders and fill them on a timely basis.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

I have 2 partial orders from 4/22 (3 out of 4) and 5/16 (1 out of 4), which makes me think I'm being charged for items they knew were out of stock. Also, I did a MST3K store order on 5/5 (run by Shout Factory) that has yet to ship. As has been mentioned before, I wouldn't be half as irritated if they didn't immediately charge me for all this stuff.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

I know it is not what people want to hear but deliveries have been delayed by most media companies. KINO and of course Twilight Time have both experienced delays most likely due .to social distancing needed to keep warehouse workers safe.
The model they apparent use is that the payment is charged before being sent to warehouse for fulfillment instead of just putting a hold on credit card funds. Has there been an increase in fraud to make this necessary? Do companies need funds quicker due to the current situation? I don't know. In normal times, when items are in stock, this shouldn't matter much as items soon ship after ordering. Perhaps if this a problem for you, purchases should be limited to stores where you can do curbside pickup or actually enter a store in some places. Items are taking longer to fulfill and sometimes longer to received once shipped. Make your buying decisions accordingly.

I finally received 3 of the 5 titles that were ordered on the 5th. Still waiting on a shipping notice for the other 2.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

Finally got a shipping notification for my May 10 order.

It'll be interesting to see how Vinegar Syndrome, who openly admit there is a substantial delay in shipping after a sale ends, will compare in regards to the Halfway to Black Friday sale which ended May 25. Bet they ship before June 25.

I'm patient, and I already said if you want shipped fast, then don't buy during a major sale. But I'll admit I didn't expect it to take a full month...

I ordered 8 items on May 12th. 1 item shipped almost immediately. Still no word on any of the others as of yet.

Ditto. Both discs that I ordered are shown on the shipping notification, but there was an image of one of the discs that I ordered shown in the shipping notification. It had "NOT AVAILABLE" written across a black-and-white image of the disc. I hope that the notification is set up just to pull an image of the disc from wherever it's stored, and that they've changed that image now that it's sold out. I'm hoping that it DOESN'T mean that I won't be getting that disc. With all the weirdness going on with the Blu-ray companies these days, I'm a little skittish.

I had the same thing happen when they emailed me to tell me that my order had shipped after a month. I did get that item and the rest of my order. It will have to be a spectacular deal for me to order again directly from SF. They do a great job of shipping your items in a well protected fashion but take too long.

Today I received the last of the five titles I ordered back on May 5th. So it took nearly 2 months to fulfill my order of "in stock" items. Even in a pandemic, that seems a little excessive.
