Amores Perros is very good, and I also own The Crime of Padre Amaro but also haven't watched it yet.

A few others you might be interested in:

Like Water for Chocolate: ($6.30) (all prices I list are before discount) – sort of a fable. Not my favorite by any stretch, but it’s not bad and it’s cheap.

The First Night of My life ($11.98) – part of a film series where directors were asked to make a film about what they thought life would be like on 12/31/99 (movies being made before that date, of course). It’s a cute comedy, worth the price if you are looking for a comedy.

Live Flesh ($9.12) – pretty good Almodovar movie, well worth this price. Also note that Javier Bardem is the star – he was also in Mondays in the Sun ($9.28), a very slow paced but OK movie that was Spain’s entry for Best Foreign Picture a few years ago – ahead of Almodovar’s “Talk To Her” (a very controversial move, especially since Talk To Her was much better than Mondays in the Sun). Mondays in the Sun is worth a rental, I couldn’t recommend it at $9.28 (even with 20% off).

Javier Bardem was also in the movie “The Dancer Upstairs” which you might be interested in, a police drama loosely based on the real life capture of Abigail Guzman in Peru in the early ‘90s, Guzman was the leader of The Shining Path. This movie was directed by John Malkovich (the actor) and was shot in Spain, if I remember right. The entire cast is Hispanic but all are speaking English.

Common Wealth ($13.19): Ran across this while looking for a different movie, looks interesting but I know nothing about it. I probably won’t buy it this time around but I’ll
keep in mind for the future.

Y Tu Mama Tambien (unrated version, of course) ($9.12) – you know about this movie, right? Very good and at a very good price.

Sex & Lucia ($13.50) – I had rented this one, it’s decent and worth a rental but I don’t know if it’s worth $13.50.

Asfalto ($12.38) – another movie I ran across while looking for a different movie; I know absolutely nothing about it but the description looks interesting. Another one I’ll keep in mind.
