No, people don't want to waste time reading the same damn question that has been answered numerous times due to people being to lazy to scan through a couple pages.

I wondered about the New Low Price too. Here's some info from the help page.

"This title is now available for preorder at a new low price and will arrive on the date listed below the title. Your credit card will not be charged until the order is shipped from our warehouse."

Excellent selection. I recommended this film in the second thread. It's too bad more people aren't ordering this film. I think they would enjoy it more than the popular blind-buy, Cemetery Man.

I haven't gotten an email confirmation yet and I ordered about an hour ago. Did more order go through or is the system just bogged down?

I guess the point of my post was that Scarface didn't need to resort to being a smartass and call the other poster a loser.
The answers that were given were pretty smart. Summed up, they basically said if you want to make sure you get the discount, order a couple hours before midnight on the 17th.

Although you usually get one within a few minutes of ordering, DDD's site says it can take up to 24 hours to get confirmation. With the sale, though, give it 36 hours.

Now that we are down to basically 24 hours left on the sale, I (and I am speaking, no doubt, on behalf of the silent majority) would appreciate a run down of the hottest blind buys for no more than $15-$16 (especially from those who are Part I, II, and III thread groupies).

I remember that Christmas in August was hot last November and this year it seems that Cemetery Man leads the way as the "hot stock tip." However, it seems that The Three Burials of Melquiades or Beyond the Valley of the Dolls could be the leading dark horse candidates this year. I ordered all three to hedge my bets.

What have I overlooked? What is your number one pick for that last $15-$16 swimming around at the bottom of your wallet or couch?

I was hoping for a Voyager price drop in time for this sale too but no cigar. I'm teaching a Star Trek class in the spring so I need the discs but there's no way I'm paying $600 for it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for November.

I'll mention this again. Owning Mahowny can be had for about $15. This is a small title that isn't the easiest to find and is never on sale. I think it's usually $20+ everywhere. Stars Oscar winner Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Great movie.

My first order arrived today, which only egged me on to a third order:
XENA-WARRIOR PRINCESS-4TH SEASON 1 $23.99
XENA-WARRIOR PRINCESS-6TH SEASON 1 $23.99
XENA-WARRIOR PRINCESS-2ND SEASON 1 $23.99
For whatever the reasons, I had all the odd numbered seasons of Xena so I broke down and got the even ones. (The debate in my head went along the lines of..."The 4th season of Xena sounds really good so I'll pick that up. Of course, I've always wanted to see the two hour series finale, so I'll pick up the season six box set because it's only a few dollars more than the movie only edition. Wait a minute, that means I only need season two to have the entire run of the show, guess I'll order that too.) $72 dollars later . . .

They are definately worth the purchase. The only problem is you have to wash your hands after touching them. You will know why when you smell one.

Items Missing In Shippment

Anyone ever receive an order from DDD with missing items? Was it resolved to your satisfaction? I received a large order yesterday and 11 titles are missing that are listed on the invoice as having been sent with the shipment. I e-mailed them late Thursday, and a full business day has passed, but no response. I know they’re swamped, but my credit card was billed for 11 items that were not shipped.

I’ll call Saturday. I was about to place another order, but now am waiting to see how this plays out before I do, though the clock is ticking on the sale. Any DDD employees on the board that can help me out?

If you don't own Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ($15.31) yet, then buy it right now. The DVD came out this past Tuesday and it's the directorial debut of Shane Black, creator and screenwriter of the first two Lethal Weapon flicks. It's one part dark-comedy, one part hardboiled film noir, with plenty of that signature Shane Black action. If you ask me, this is one of the finest films of this decade so far, and one of my all time personal favorites.

I too tried to use BML to place my order that was $350 but was denied, despitre the fact that I dod place a smaller order a month ago for $50 that was no problem. Maybe there is some form of a $ limit.

I went back and placed the majority of my order that is actually for my brother on my credit card. However, I really wanted the DVD storage shelves that hold up to 620 DVD's for $127 after discount and decided to give BML another shot for just that itme and apparantly it worked because I placed the order Wednesday and supposedly shipped yesterday from the vendor.
