They also had some James Bond and Pink Panther movies from MGM. They were $4 each.

Picked up The Omen 2-disc CE, Mel Gibson's Paparazzi and Supernova for $4 each today. Looking at the reviews online...I might have to bring back Paparazzi and Supernova. Also, picked up Blue Thunder SE, Where The Truth Lies and Lords of Dogtown for $3 each.

Since I'm up here for work the next 2 weeks.....Has anyone on the forum hit the 3-4 Minneapolis, MN area Big Lots, and let me know what they've found (especially anime wise, as I'm hunting down just 4-5 titles: namely Dan-Doh Vol. 3, s-CRY-ed 3-volume Anime Legends - Vol. 1, IGPX - Vol. 6, and the YuGiOh Season 1 tin (I have Tsukikage Ran Vol. 4 and .hack/SIGN - Vols. 1, 4 on my list too). I just don't want to BBQ 120 miles of driving while I'm up here for two weeks (and just focus on the 7 Half Price Books here).

Also, since I'm out there in 2 weeks after this work trip, how about the San Bernardino/Ontario/Moreno Valley, CA areas?

Thanks for any help, guys & gals, it's VERY appreciated,
Matt

I live in San Bernardino and from here there are about 8 Big Lots within a 25-30 mile radius. I have had the most success in the Fontana and Ontario stores. But I would definitely recommend checking them all out being that they are pretty close to each other.

Matt, the three BL stores on my circuit are very weak in Anime. New titles are hit-and-miss at all three, but the Brooklyn Center store will be more likely to stock Mill Creek box sets. I'm going to try to run my 60 mile circuit Monday or Tuesday, but it's problematical; up to 7 inches of snow are due in on Monday. (March goes out like a lion this year!) I'll post what I find.

Incidentally, today's the last day of the current coupon promotion at Half Price Books. I plan on visiting the St. Louis Park store today to use my remaining 50% off coupon. I'll hit the Knollwood Big Lots on the way back and post any news.

This restock is not here in South Florida yet.

It might not be in other places on the country like last time. Sometimes we get it first, sometimes last. Should be here in a week or two.

We only got wiggles and some $3.00 Janis Saffell workout videos (Millcreek)

Made it over to Big Lots and saw where they had once had the $3 display, but nothing significant was left. I checked out the other section of DVDs and picked up these two:

John Carpenter's The Fog SE $4
Triple Feature Western: Death Rides a Horse (Lee Van Cleef), God's Gun(Palance & Van Cleef), Cry Blood Apache $1

The one near me got 20 or so of the 3 title PD disks and about 30 of the Mill Creek assortments. They were *all* gone within about 5 days! Even the left over bad kid animation junk is all gone!

I picked up
Good Day for a Hanging
Mountain Patrol
Guns of Navarone
Tokyo Raiders
Texas
The Legend of Suriyothai
Monster SE

Man, I'm just loving how Sony is dumping their excess catalog inventory on Big/Lots. I'll bet Big/Lots is loving it, too!

Now if only Sony will dump Runaway (Tom Selleck/Gene Simmons/Kirstie Alley) to Big/Lots then I'll be REALLY happy! I want that movie, but I won't spend $15 - $20 to get it.

I wish they would get in more of the indie/foreign films that they had a long time ago. I bought a ton of those, but I don't really see much of that sort of thing anymore.

There are two editions of "The Guns Of Navarone" Rehmus.

The 2000 special edition.

And the 2007 newer special edition, a two disc set. Which I believe has a slipcover.

I'm still a bit fuzzy. If the all the extras from the 2000 release carried over. There you go.

The Big Lots in the Bay Area have received a lot of the Sony and Columbia DVDs that have been posted in the last couple of days.

I just picked up for $3 a piece:

The Cavern
Nine Lives
Crimson Rivers
The Guns of Navarone (SE)
The Castle Keep

Thanks to all that have been posting, and keeping me in the loop on whats out there. Big Lots has really redefined the price point for DVDs for me. The 6 dollar DVDs at Best Buy or Ross Dress for Less do not look as attractive anymore, as I load up on 3 dollar DVDs, which leads to a huge back up on my "to be viewed soon" list. This back up results in me purchasing fewer DVDs in the Best Buy weekly circular. As a matter of fact I haven't been in BB for over a month now, since Big Lots has been scratching my DVD itch.

Anyone in the OC area in SoCal ever see 'Philadelphia' and 'Panic Room 3 Disc SE' ? Have been scouring a lot of BLs but none to be had.

Picked up about 20 titles y'day at a BL near me that had restocked - tons of old westerns and foreign films. Picked up 'People vs Larry Flynt' finally, Batman 1943 animated series and 'Winged Migration' as well. $3 a pop is a steal.

I did see one copy of "Philadelphia" the two disc edition.

Didn't see "Panic Room" (already own it, bought for ten; Wal-Mart months back), that is an excellent price on that set.

Oh. San Bernardino, CA.
