It appears the buy 2 get 1 free Blu-ray sale has started. Not sure if the coupons work but the prices are very high which may negate any real deals.

When I tried a moment ago, the 25% off coupon seemed to stack with this sale, which is the only way you can manage a worthwhile deal because the prices are so high. Sadly, Warner BDs seem to be excluded from this sale.

EDIT: I got Gattaca, Dirty Dancing, and Few Good Men for about $15.14 each using the 25% off code and my B&N mastercard. Not bad at all.

Strange -- the Buy 2 Get 1 free icon does not show up for me for anything I've tried -- including "Gattaca" and "Dirty Dancing" purchased by the above poster.

The icons were there earlier on the listed DVDs but I'm not seeing them now either. Maybe the sale hasn't officially started yet? I stumbled across the sale when I found this link. It has April 8th at the top which might be when all the sales officially start. However it did look like it was active earlier.

It was definitely active earlier because my three BDs are already scheduled to ship. Also, the 25% off code I used wasn't supposed to be active until tomorrow, but it worked for me in combination with the B2G1.

This isn't a good deal at all, even WITH 25% off.

I partly agree with your statement, but I also think it depends on the titles you're looking for. Titles that are 29.99 retail will be the best bet -- I got three of them for $15 each after all the discounts. I think that's a good deal.

New releases are also a good bet with the 25% off coupon, since they are usually at 30% off on release day. Even if it retails for 59.99, that makes it $27.29 + tax after the sale price and coupon and member discount. Free UPS shipping is a bonus, and if you have a gift card that's icing on the cake...

I think this is a new sale that has just started, or if it isn't new I think they must have just added a lot of new titles. There are lots of good deals on TV sets, especially if you use some of the current coupons.

DVD Sale - Save 40% or more on thousands of titles.

I'd rather save 1000% or more on forty titles...
That being said, with the 25% off coupon and member discount (or 5% Visa link for non-members), there are some good deals...

This is a copy of Bobaray's post from the ST Voyager thread, but I thought it should be mentioned in here:

All of the Star Trek TV Series (Original, Next Gen, Voyager, DSN, Enterprise) are 40% off at BN.com. With a membership that works out to $37.78 per season. With a 25% off coupon (see separate thread for code), that works out to $28.33 plus tax. Complete season sets are an even better deal; Voyager and DSN are 50% off (for instance, with discount, membership, and coupon, Voyager seasons 1 to 7 would be $177.23 or $25.32 per season, plus tax; total includes $4.99 shipping, no free shipping allowed due to bulk).

ST Voyager wasn't that cheap last January during the B2G1F sale, when I bought all of my other ST series for under $25 each. This price will be tough to beat...

Are there any new and/or active printable in-store coupons right now?

Thanks for all the great posts!

They are over $25, so qualify for free shipping anyway... But non-members can get an additional 5% off through that link...

I tried buying the complete Voyager set without the link and would have been charged $4.99 for shipping. I think it's an exception to the free shipping rule because of its weight. But with the link shipping was free.

I took the plunge with the 25% off coupon and bought ST:TNG Complete Series for $226. I'm sure a better deal will come along any moment now.

Edit: $20 of the above price was tax.

If you already qualify for free shipping, an alternative when paying by Discover Card is to go through Discover's website shopping link to get a cashback bonus on your statement. It's currently 10% for B&N.

Interesting... I wonder when they started the weight surcharge. I ordered a book from them last year that was HUGE (hence it's $300 price). I could barely lift it without getting a hernia, and my UPS guy hated me for months. But there was no weight surcharge on it...

Here's the link to the oversize shipping rates below. It looks like it starts at 5 lbs. Also B&N mentions oversized items are subject to special shipping and handling charges that will be listed during checkout, but no specifics to what is actually considered oversized. I noticed it doesn't have free shipping listed on the complete Star Trek Voyager and Enterprise sets on the B&N web site, but it does for other Star Trek sets of similar size. It doesn't appear B&N is consistent on what is actually oversized. By the way is the book you ordered still list free shipping if it is available?

That's actually a really good deal; thanks for mentioning it. With the 25% off coupon, it worked out to $41.71 for me.
