Mark, the Hudson Hawk SE is listed as oop not 11-20-07 release. Will it be available next week. I only found it by searching Bruce Willis. The one listed as available and SE is the old release.

The info doesn't mention HD DVD but that is the correct UPC for it.

If it helps any though, I wouldn't want to imply a complete stranger should trust the info blindly and make a purchase based on it without being confident, the site lists four possibilities for Shrek the Third which matches the four available releases. The UPC's line up with their respective widescreen/fullscreen counterparts, the trilogy and then the HD DVD version which also lists the correct higher MSRP so that there is no doubt that is the HD DVD version.

I don't know if it's appropriate to complain about DVD Planet here in this thread, but I'm going to go ahead and do it anyway, 'cause I need to vent. I placed an order with them yesterday using the 20% off code, not knowing it expired. It went through just fine on the site, with all the prices lowered, but the e-mail I received with my order summary gave me the full price for the total. They were closed yesterday, so I called today to cancel, but I was told that since the sale had ended I'd have to pay full price, and that they couldn't cancel it because it had already been filled. So I'm screwed, basically, because unlike every other website their system won't tell you a coupon has expired when you enter it. She said she'd talk to her tech people about that. Like I care if they fix the problem, considering this will be the last time I ever order from them.

The 20% off sale doesn't end until the 25th so I don't know what their problem is. You may want to contact them again. I also put in an order yesterday and the discount showed up fine on my order email.

I was told that the sale ended on the 21st.
I'm hoping that the problem was merely that I was stuck dealing with an awful customer service representative. I've sent them an e-mail, and hopefully whoever responds will be more reasonable. If not, I'll keep calling back until it gets taken care of.
The only solution the woman I spoke to gave to me was to refuse the package when it arrives. I was having the DVDs sent to someone as a gift. So not only would I have to reveal to them that it was coming, but also tell them to send it back? It seems they're hoping I'll just bite the bullet and take it at full price, but I'm too damn stubborn to do that.

forget about ever hearing back on that email. Call again Monday and if the rep you speak to doesn't fix it, ask to speak to his/her supervisor. If that doesn't work, hang up and call back and talk to another rep.

I tried for 2hrs last night trying to login to the website. I kept getting a "syntex error" pages. Because of this I could not use the 20% off coupon. I've been a loyal customer for 6 years, and have "backed up" DE/DVD-P when others bashed....
I'm rethinking my loyalty....

Mark,
The discount for January Criterion titles seems to have decreased from 35% off to 30% off ($40 retails usually sell for around $26, while recent orders have them selling for about $28). Is this pricing going to remain a constant, or will it be adjusted?

Mark,
The discount on certain Blu-ray titles (especially new/upcoming titles from Fox & Lionsgate) have also dramatically decreased from the usual 30% off MSRP. For instance:
3:10 to Yuma Blu-ray
Retail $39.95 DVDPlanet Price $34.43 - That's a discount of only ~13.5% instead of the usual 30%.
Cast Away Blu-ray
Retail $39.95 DVDPlanet Price $36.23 - That's a discount of only ~9%
Are the discounts of new and upcoming Blu-ray releases changing? Because even with monthly coupons, those prices are very, very high and would force most of us to purchase our titles elsewhere.
