$5 off of $60 would work out to $15 off of $180... seems pretty negligible, and you don't have to spend as much with the 5/60. just my two cents, but of course, either way, i appreciate the coupons.

No, it doesn't, because you can't use the 5/60 three times. You could do 5/60 and 8/100, but that's 13/160 and would be worse than that because you wouldn't spent exactly 60 and 100

I ran some numbers with the B1G1 offer with the various coupons and the differences are fairly negligible. I think the $35 sets would wind up $17.24 with $160 spent and maybe $17.48 going with the $60 or $100 offer. I was going to put together a $160 order and sell some of the extras to fund the rest...but Amazon's dropped their prices on almost all the DVD Planet $35 sets to about $25...which means reselling these sets right now would just be a break even venture

I'm glad I used the November coupons when I did on my initial orders (where I did the $60 and $130 offers).

Sorry that you guys don't like the coupons. We are one of a very few DVD retailers that offer a rewards program AND monthly coupons.

I'd use the coupons and places an order, but Harry Potter 1-4 HD DVD are NOT listed, NOR are the October 3rd, 2007 Warner NON-COMBO re-issues on HD DVD.

Ridiculous.

I love the Dvdplanet site..there's a silent majority here that gives two thumbs up to all the benefits we get when using Dvdplanet vs. other places.

I like it a lot as well, plus I can order a bunch of pre-order titles and they'll ship out as they come release.

The only real negative is some of the newer prices. For example, The Bourne Ultimatum HD DVD is at $33.47 (only a small discount from the $40 retail tag, where as Children of Men is at $27.95 on a $40 disc). Looking at other stores, this is pretty high. Amazon has it for $27.95. So that's a $4.50 difference, which even the coupons and rewards don't overcome. Not sure if this is a new pricing policy or just a price error, as it's way higher than normal for DVDPlanet.

Yes! Between the store credit for discs we sell to them, the frequent buyer points, the monthly coupons, and the reduced prices for used discs... most of my DVD purchases are made at DVDPlanet.

Seems like a few people here complain frequently, but they don't represent all of us.

Please keep up the good work, Mark!

All the $40 January Criterions are currently $24.95 as are the December Criterions not yet released. Unfortunately, the February Criterions Pierrot le Fou, Walker, The Last Emperor, etc., aren't up yet.

I just picked up Two-Lane Blacktop and Naked Prey for $24.95 each. Buy another DVD, add a coupon, use free shipping, use 20offsale coupon when they have their 20% off, and you'll save money on DVDs, and also collect points. I'm over 600. when I get to 1000, I'll have $40 to spend. This'll be the third time I've gotten there.

I even used Digital Eyes/DVD Planet when I lived in Illinois and had to pay state tax. If you purchase lots of DVDs, in the long run, I think they're the best.

Crap, I ordered Two-Lane some time back and it shipped yesterday and I was charged the original $27.97 price. Have they ever done a store credit or refunded the difference?

Well those lower Criterion prices and $15 off coupon got DVD Planet a decent size pre-order, the first time I have made a sizeable pre-order for ages. Thanks Mark!

You guys at DVDPlanet must be mathematicians because I cannot get any combination of the DVDs I want to work with the coupons.

Example:
4 new Criterions - $24.95 x 4 = $99.80 + Agnes Varda set - $64.95 = $164.75
I can't split the orders up in 2 because I'll be 20 cents shy of the Xmas2007 coupon. So then I decided to try and add a $10 flick to bring up the total amount to $175. I picked Funny Face because I had been meaning to get it and that's price at $10.21. Add 10.21 to 164.75 and you get 174.96. I'm 4 cents off.

Mark,

Please give us more discount on Bourne Ultimatum HD-DVD, I hope it'll be around $27, not $33

Mark,

I have ordered hundreds of dollars of Dvd's from your store and I absolutely love the coupon codes and the frequent buyer feature which is outstanding.

Keep up the good work, it keeps me buying from your business and please ignore the ungrateful.

With gratitude,

Jeremy

I appreciate the coupons and the points. Especially the points and being able to send in used DVDs for credit.

I've spent more money at DVDPlanet than I'd like to think about.
