ok well FINALLY im able to post this (didn't have internet last nite..):

i originally ordered the Vol. 7 w/Limited Edition box + soundtrack for Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig..this is what i got:



using the $4 dvds i bought and turned into $12 credit @ FYE...i paid about $8 for it in cash.

then i found the FLCL Vol 3 w/limited edition (and OUT OF PRINT, VERY RARE) collector's box and immediately placed an order for it (paid another $8 in cash thanks to my credit :-) when i got the package, it felt a little too heavy, so i opened it up and this is what I got:

At least I only paid about $15 for Alias: Season 1 to 4 and got Season 5 for free. I was able to use store credit to achieve that kind of sale. Not at Wherehouse.com mind you, but still... I must remind myself of this to feel better.

Because, dude, $16 for those two amazing sets... That's incredible.

My order came yesterday and so far, almost everything's looking good. Quite a few are brand new with all the security stickers still on. Only problem so far is that The Ugly was some Wal-Mart exclusive that's fullscreen and R-rated, as opposed to the widescreen and unrated the site stated it was. That's getting sold right away. It kinda pisses me off though since my friend's coming up next week and I was hoping to show it to him.

Yeah, I just did. I was just gonna sell it, recoup my money on it, and call it good, but then I found that my Omen boxset had two copies of the second one and was missing the third and that just really pissed me off now. Now I'll have to play the game of sending shit back and waiting...and waiting...god I hate this.

I'm in the same boat. I got my Traffic CC (separate order) but still have not received my 4 item second order that was supposedly sent on 3/2/08. I guess I'll give it a couple more days. Its just strange that my first order arrived pretty quick and this one is taking so long...

Yes, same boat here. My first order was here in three days. Second order still standing at 9 days. I left friday for spring break, so when I get back the day after Easter, they better be waiting for me, or I'll be very displeased. I don't see why they wouldn't be though.

Recieved my seven dvd's on Friday.

4 were in mint condition

2 were former rentals and looked like the discs have been ran through that spindoctor machine. However they were in good condition.

1 was in horrible condition. It came as a floater and the case was broken. The disc had multiple scratches and fingerprints on it.

I e-mailed for a replacement on the horrible one and got a response fast saying they were shipping a replacement and apologized to me.

Overall I'm a satisfied customer.

while I have received all of my shipments within 7-10 days, in their defense, they do say 1-3 weeks for delivery.

I already got a response from them and they gave me credit for The Ugly and already shipped out a replacement Omen boxset, which is pretty efficient so overall I'm pretty happy, at least until I look over at my stockpile of unwatched dvds anyways.

Got my 2 shipments yesterday. all mint to near mint at the worst. Very happy with my order. Took a bit longer than I would like, but from CA to IN 1st class or Media mail, thats not bad either.

18 days since it shipped, 21 since I ordered, still nothing. I finally decided to email them to ask if maybe they have a tracking number or something.

To put this in perspective, three days ago, I ordered something off eBay, and ordered something off Amazon, with super saver shipping, and they both arrived today. Ugh.

I've been pretty happy with Wherehouse.com but there are a couple of things that are common in my dealings...

The dvd's and cases are usually in pretty good shape but they seem like they've been packed really tight or stacked or something because the artwork will often have case impressions on it. Usually not creased or torn but pretty darned close and apparent enough for me to notice. It's not a huge deal but leaves the overall condition as less than mint to say the least.

The other thing is item descriptions being somewhat vague or minimal. They seem very willing to try and correct the situation but sometimes...

For example, I ordered a dvd called "The White River". It has Bob Hoskins and Antonio Banderas. The picture and item description listed it as being that movie. What I got was "The White River Kid". It's the same movie but retitled, from a different company, different artwork and is a full frame transfer as opposed to the nicer widescreen. Not to mention I already had that version. I sent them an e-mail and they sent out a replacement...of the same wrong version. I sent another e-mail, very specific and with pictures and they sent out a replacement...of the wrong one again! So, now I had three copies of a dvd that I didn't want in the first place and still didn't have the right version. Way too much work for a $3.99 dvd. I just gave up and traded them in and found the right version somewhere else.

Isolated incident but it ties into the apparent item description "problems" the site has. For a few of you with nice anime stories it works in your favor. For those looking for something specific, it can make it difficult.

I have two orders (shipped on the 7th & 8th) that still haven't showed up yet and it's been almost three weeks now. I know shipping to Canada takes longer but I've ordered other things from the states recently and they've usually taken no more than a week to get here.

My last two orders shipped on the 8th and 10th, and when I got back yesterday i had two slips on my door - they both got there on the 17th. So a little over a week average. Three weeks seems a bit long though. All of mine were in good condition, most were barely used.

Yeah, my order still isn't here. And I ordered it February 29th, and it shipped March 2nd. And it's still not here. Damn you, Wherehouse!
