DVDmaniac14, I just got a great deal on anime too, from my second warehouse.com order. I ordered Galaxy Railways vol. 1 w/box for $3. It came today, and when I opened it, it contained the entire series (6 volumes). So the complete series for $3. Not bad.

They still have a bunch left if anyone wants to take a chance at getting the complete set. This artbox is different than most. You can't see the volumes when it's closed. So it's possible for others to get the same deal (steal) I did.

Dirty bastard.

I made another order as I felt like working on some anime series I've been putting off. I have this habit of starting a series and never stay on top of getting the rest. I think it's because of all the nice artboxes.

Funny thing, it happened to me too when I ordered Gankutsuou Vol. 1 w/ box. They shipped the whole series with it, all six volumes. I think what happens is that people trade in the entire collection but when secondspin scans the barcode on the box it only shows up as "Vol w/ box" and not "Complete Series Boxset" (since that has a different barcode) even though all the volumes are there. Or they wanted to save space and put the volumes in the box thinking it was the same with or without them.

well decided to place another order and immediately e-mailed second spin's CS and told them DO NOT charge my credit card and to apply the credit from the order they canceled. Will have to call them in the morning to make sure they won't sneak in a charge on my credit card. I really wish i didn't have to deal with SecondSpin's site...but oh well... this sale is too decent to do anything about it

Yeah, well, a couple of months back I ordered a lot of stuff, one of the dvd sets I got wasn't what I ordered, so I e-mailed them, sent it back, etc. etc. and specifically asked for the amount to be creditted to the credit card I used. Instead, I get a secondspin.com credit, fine, whatever, and I just planned on using it... and after signing in and applying the code.... I noticed the 26 or so dollar credit is now missing from my account. I checked my bank statement to make sure they didn't put it back in there... and no, they haven't. WTF??!

well, out of the, what... 20+ DVD's I bought first via wherehouse then secondspin, I just got my only "cancelled" order.

1 DVD Hole Shipped (from CA on 03/18/08)
1 DVD Dead Birds Shipped (from CA on 03/18/08)
1 DVD Texas Chainsaw Massacre [1974] [30th Anniversary Limited Edition] Cancelled

I thought TCM limited edition for < $5 was too good to be true.

Hmmm. I just received a shipping notice from the stuff I ordered last Friday. I hope the stuff arrives in good condition. I've never bought anything from SecondSpin but I've sold them a boatload of disks over the years. I know the stuff I sold was pristine; hopefully, the stuff I bought will be in similar condition. Any experiences on how quickly an order arrives after being shipped out?

Thanks, mate.

Where did you get the code, and when does it expire?

Not sure on the expiration date. I found it at another message board I frequent.

I've never bought anything from SecondSpin, but I just placed an order in for the Sailor Moon Super S collection. I waited too long to buy it before it went OOP, and the thing sells on eBay for over $100. Being able to purchase it for $46 seems like a steal. Hopefully everything goes through OK...
