Thanks for the tip. The 3 for $10 dvd's at my Fye were junk, but they had an awesome $2.00 cd blow out going on. I spent $134 on the cd's. They said only Fyes designated as "Clearance Centers" had the $2 cd's.

I've been to three stores and haven't found City of Violence in the bin. It's always been full price. I did see Crime Story, Above the Law, and My Young Auntie (which I picked up since it was the only one I hadn't already had).

the 3 for 10 is theoretically BF only, the employee at the store I went to told me as he was putting them out, telling me they would not yet ring up 3 for 10. I proceeded to buy 6 for a total of 21.35

I also noted this important fact: different UPC stickers on ALL of them that said "BARGAIN DVD" and listed a price of 6.97, no sticker on the front like regular FYE titles. This should help in finding the right copies to ring up at the discounted price

Does anybody know what time FYE opens on Friday? I don't see it in the ad.

Yeah, he was totally incorrect.

These are definitely bargain bin deals (as noted by the sticker you mentioned that says, ""Budget Bargain DVD").

By the way, for those of you who haven't seen these stickers yet; they are placed over the regular manufacturer's bar code, say "Budget Bargain DVD", and feature their own, unique barcode. If the set you find doesn't have the sticker then it's not on sale.

Keep in mind that most of us are finding these in the bargain bins -- not on the regular shelves.

The only thing I picked up at the brick and mortar stores this year was at Fye. I got the limited edition of the Family Guy Blue harvest for 9.99. It paid off this year to wait for this. Its only on sale today and tomorrow for any interested.

The bins were still up in the Clovis store and they still had pretty much everything listed here for the 3 for $10 bin. I had to go look in the action section for City of Violence and I went to one of the scaners and it came up at $6.99 even with no sale tag and the regular tag said $24.99. Also since I can't find any of the Bond films at Big Lots and my brother wants all the Bond films for Christmas, is it worth it to get the 4 sets which are B1G1 free and use my backstage pass card, or should I just get the mega set. I can't remember how much Costco or Sam's Club had the mega set for, but with the B1G1 free with my card at FYE the 4 sets comes out to around $98.

I went to the FYE at the Jefferson Mall in Louisville, KY today and they had a Buy-One-Get-One-Free sign on this bin. The following Dragon Dynasty titles were all marked $6.97 each, so with my Backstage Pass discount (10%), I got all six for $19.96 (incl. tax):

City of Violence (2 Disc)
Born to Fight (2 Disc)
The One-Armed Swordsman
Fatal Contact (2 Disc)
Crime Story
Above the Law

I also saw a couple of copies of My Young Auntie.

Thanks for the heads up!

I really want to go back to my local FYE and check for 4/6 of those titles, but I was disappointed last time I went when they had nothing.

Found tons of copies of "Rush Hour 3" 2-disc edition, complete with the lenticular slipcover, at my FYE today. Couldn't believe it. Picked up that, along with "Get Shorty" 2-disc and "She Hate Me" for $9.5x after using my Backstage Pass. Incredible price.

The store on Steinway (Astoria, Queens NY) is going out of business -- everything in the store is 50% off.

The bad thing is they pulled ALL the blu-ray DVD's off the shelf when I asked where they went.

The store in Greenville, NC is also going out of business. They had everything 50% off. They had several blu-rays, including the Blade Runner Briefcase BD set. I picked The Incredible Hulk, Tropic Thunder, the Blade Runner set and other DVDs.
