Well, CH is obviously monitoring this thread, as those codes have all also died the last few minutes.

I tried it again, and it's still working. Does the code go through at all for you, or do you just not see the Ahoy Matey screen?

There was no ahoy Matey screen when I used the code but I remembered some of the titles I wanted before I used the code and then just did a random search for those titles.

Not at all. I would love to get in on this deal, but clearly they do not wish us to. Congrats to all who got in.

Weird, in the past few minutes the codes went from working to not working to working again. Try some higher numbers like 95,98 etc.

I get the Ahoy Matey screen when linking from the email they sent about the sale, but no discount in my cart....

They were probably deleting them as you were testing them.

I had added The Notebook, Troy, and the Back To The Future set to my cart last night to see how it would shake out, and the total was like $43.42 with $54 in funcash. I didn't order, as I was going to hold out until today, but then I just read that the codes were dying. I logged in, entered in 006118 yet again on a whim (even though posters were saying it had died), but it seemingly worked. So 006118 worked for me, maybe it was because I already had items in my cart...

The Ahoy Matey secret sale is not the same offer as the 006118 code. There is no code for the secret sale, but if you have a fulfilled account you should see a link for it in the right hand column of the front page. It is all in text between some other graphic features and easy to miss, maybe halfway down the page. This is still active. The code 006118 is totally separate.

Very odd that the code died for some well before it died for others. I had stuff in my cart too, before 6118 died.

We're sorry! We don't recognize the online code you entered. Please re-enter the code or shop with the offer on your Member Card for great savings.

The weird thing is usually they have a deal, let's make up one and say it's 804958 -- which means the real code is xx4958. Any numbers you plug in for xx will work as the same code. But when they kill code 804958 that should mean all xx4958 codes no longer work. They kill the last 4 numbers and that takes out the xx variations. I haven't seen a code where they killed the last 4 numbers and the certain xx varations still worked. What you can find is variations of the code by changing the last 4 digits, say xx4960 or xx4953. So it's really weird if xx4958 is working for some variations and not others because it's usually all or nothing...

I really shouldn't have bought anything...

Total $107.15
Average DVD Price for this order, excluding sets: $10.12
You're Earning FunCash $108.00

8 dvds..13.38 each ...108$ FC...once I combine all my accounts I should have around 189 in funcash I think ...

Just a data point: I have now tried 4 different accounts, including unfilfilled and fulfilled, at different addresses. None of them will take any variation on the 6118 code.

I still have the Funcash deal on my account. I won't be ordering anything else, though.

At first, it worked for me (code 946118), then I removed one title, and get the error message saying that they are working on their system. When I looked at the URL, it said

columbiahouse.com/sa/41/ch/error/500.jsp?exception=OnlineCode.forKey%28%29%3AThis+method+was+passed+an+invalid+parameter.++No+OnlineC ode+exists+for+the+onlineCodePKey%3A103791&club=3&stype=CLUB&dt=1111632164908&catname=SPECIALTY+SHOP%3AHOME&pin=41&bak=NONE

And the race is on! Will the gallant DVD Talkers complete their orders before the wily minions of Columbia House manage to deactivate the code and thus snatch away their candy!!!

I thought Columbia House had Evil Flying Monkies that used Gigli DVDs as weapons?

But, if I stop the link while it's loading and put 006118 into the URL, and then ALSO put it into the "Looking for the code..." link (as usual), then it works.

This is the email link (with 006118 substituted):

Link doesn't work. What do you mean by "stop the link while its loading"?
