To add to that, the discount codes dropping prices below $19.95 means that your best option to fulfill is to wait for free shipping codes. I just waited until they did a free shipping on 2 or more titles and bought all my fulfillments in one order.

Just a little warning, I ordered the Bridge to Terabithia featured selection this month, and it was full screen! It did not indicate anywhere whether it was full screen or widescreen, and I honestly didn't really think about it and expected it to be widescreen. Well, I received it, and sure enough, it was full screen. And as far as I can tell, they only list one version of BtT on the site, so I don't even know if they have a widescreen version or not.

They do have a widescreen version, but you have to call the club to get it. The same thing happened to my aunt with Cars.

I need to buy 3 more titles before I can cancel my account.
Are there any sets that will count as 2 or 3 and once purchased, will complete my membership agreement?

I know for sure that the Zorro set fulfills membership requirements. It's pricey, but not available elsewhere. If you're not interested in the set, you might be able to sell it on eBay or Amazon and make a tidy profit.

Thanks for the great info. I'm thinking of joining since it sounds like a good deal for Disney DVDs. It'll be great if anyone could answer any of the following 3 questions for me.
  1. Are there better codes for joining the code than the ones below?
I found the following 2 from previous post:

    613005 (4 for free+$14.95+$1 S&H w/4 more to buy @ $19.95 = $95.75 / 9 = ~$10.64 per movie)
    785047 (4 for $1+$14.95+$0 S&H w/3 more to buy @ $19.95 = $75.80 / 8 = ~$9.48 per movie)

I also saw codes 781010, 785047, 764020 in previous posts, but I'm not sure what is special about them. I couldn't find out from the Disney Movie Club page since they all displayed the same info.

Is there a better code than these?

  2. Can someone tell me how much the following cost from the club so I can maximize my enrollment?
For the movies with prices in parenthesis, I was able to find that price from other post but I'm curious if they have changed since some of those posts were old. The ones without prices are the ones I didn't find in other postings in this thread.

    Lilo & Stitch ($21.95)
    Leroy & Stitch
    Stitch! The Movie
    Dumbo Big Top Edition ($21.95)
Alice In Wonderland: The Masterpiece Edition ($21.95)
DuckTales The Movie: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp ($19.95)
Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary Edition ($21.95)
    Tron 20th Ann ($19.95)
    Castle In The Sky ($19.95)
    My Neighbor Totoro ($19.95)
    Kiki's Delivery Service ($19.95)
    Miyazaki's Spirited Away
    Porco Rosso ($21.95)
Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind ($21.95)
    Howl's Moving Castle

  3. I didn't notice Nightmare Before Christmas on the enrollment list, although someone posted they got this. Is this available at all in the club? What about Princess Mononoke?

Thanks for everyone's help.

Around June or July the DMC ran out of stock of Nightmare Before Christmas dvd, and seeing that it is now oop I doubt that they will be getting any more. As for as Princess Mononoke goes, I have never seen it listed on the site.

I believe Mononoke is a Miramax title right now; Disney has alluded to a special edition of their own but nothing yet.

I have an order from them that I need to return.I went to the site and it says that for returns, ship it via media mail.
Can;t I just mark it return to sender and initial it?Also, any one know how long they take to refund your credit card? There will most likely be a charge of nearly 60 bucks on my statement for this, and I do not intend on paying it(since I am going to return it).

In the past I've written return to sender on the box and they refunded me it to my credit card including the S&H. As for how long don't remember how long it took, but there are several factors that play into this. Depends on how long the return takes, shipping and how long CS sits on it. The other is your credit card has a cut off date so if you are near that date than you are out of luck. I wouldn't count on it being refunded on your credit card. You'll most likely get the refund on your next statement.

You can find out by calling DMC (the number is on their website). You don't have to speak with anyone, just listen for the "to hear your membership status" option when navigating the automated menus.

I got a coded from Chase Visa for Chase customers (908001) for 5 for free $1 S&H plus 1 for 14.95 plus 50% off one and 3 more to buy. I'm betting the 50% off does not sweeten the deal but does that work out better than the codes above? TIA

So I went for it and the total for the promo order was 15.95 Sweet!

I'm planning on buying the feature title The Jugle Book and selection n#3797803 (Aladdin II & III Collection) since these DVD are $26.95, and with the 25% discount is 20.21 (passing the 19.95 commintment mininum) would this selection count as 1 for commintment.

I just joined the Disney Movie Club for the first time, and according to the catalog that was enclosed with my introductory package, which I just got today, "Discounted titles do not count toward your purchase commitment".

I am very, very doubtful that this would work, but tell me what you think.....

I thought that the time I had to buy my 3 commitment titles was sometime this month,so I ordered 3 titles and received them. Before they arrived,I discovered that I have til February to purchase the 3 DVDs I still owe them.
I marked the package refused, initialed it and took it up to the post office yesterday.
Now,I could cancel my account now but than how would I get them to refund my credit card?
So what I am saying is,is it possible to cancel my account now that they think I purchased my remaining titles,AND get a refund?
Yes,this is a stupid question and makes me sound like a crook, but there it is.
