Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
hey everybody, just found this forum, it's freaking great.
i plan on joining CH using one of the codes generously provided here.
is there anyway to access their entire catalog with prices without joining first?
that way i can see what i will get for free and what i will buy to fulfill my enrollment.
also, if anybody can tell me the selection # and price of the 4-disc and 5-disc blade runner dvd set, i'd really appreciate it.
thanks

Managed to open a new account on-line using 76C. Got the acceptance e-mail in just one day. Since the code requires a PSN (and doesn't require a credit card, by the way) I used my open account number. That way, Columbia House closed the old account without me having to do it myself. (If you don't want your current account closed, be sure to use a PSN from an older, closed, account.)
I haven't opened a new account in almost a year, which might be why my new application was accepted.
Ok, I'm ready, bring on a B1G1F + free shipping Blu-ray offer!

Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
Trying to open an account and none of the codes listed here seem to be working. When I enter them it just loads the standerd 7:4 offer is there something im doing wrong??? It used to have an offer code box when you loaded the regular offer now the only place I can find this type box is on the home page right under join now it says savings code but like i said I entered these and to no avail. Just loads default offer. Any advice?

Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
Apologies if this is in the wrong place - just slap me on the wrist and I'll know for next time. People on here have indicated that you can have two accounts simultaneously with CH, but on their membership/account information page, they state: "We must limit memberships to one per person, per club." Is this just a mistake on their part?

^Welcome!
Probably, although that's been in the wording for years. It's pretty common knowlege around here that you can have 2 regular DVD club accounts and 2 TVonDVD club accounts opened simultaneously.
And your question should really go in the questions thread. Consider your wrist slapped...

^As long as you want. You'll typically get a "welcome" email within a week or two if you've been accepted. If you try again soon (3-4 weeks or so), it's recommended that you choose a different set of enrollment titles just in case the first application gets approved. I'll typically wait 2-3 months before reusing titles on a "lost" application just in case.

Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
Sorry, but the shipping kills the deal on 2KC.
27B and other 7:2 codes will save you money.
The 9:2 codes that include shipping costs are well-discussed in this thread.
Your total enrollment package will be:
$.49*8+$9.95+$1.99*9=$31.78
That compares to
$.49*6+$9.95=$12.89
for a 7:2 account.
The difference is 2 DVDs.
That means you pay $31.78 - $12.89 = $18.89 for those 2 DVDs.
Since the average cost of a DVD is $4.80 in a 7:2 account, a 9:2 code will cost you an additional $9.29.

Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
Looks like it, based on what Sheky said.
Check out the details on the site when you enter them. That's the only way to be sure. Also, some codes require PSNs (previous account numbers) and credit cards, while some only require one or don't require either.

Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
I have three enrollment applications in limbo, each spaced apart by a few weeks, and I'm wondering if I am not getting through because of the movies I chose for my enrollment. In each case, I picked the three Hitchcock Legacy Series DVDs (PSYCHO, REAR WINDOW and VERTIGO) that still retail for around $20 each in every store I've seen them in. I know enrollment acceptances have very little logic that we know of, and I've had almost ten completed accounts since finding out about this process. I was half-surprised to see those sets available for enrollment because they haven't dropped in price. Anyway, I'm frustrated that I'm not getting through.

DeepDiscount.com has those 3 titles for $13.43 each.

Billz - I selected those three Hitchcock sets, along with Touch of Evil, Time Bandits, American Gangster and Reservation Road. It was approved without any problems. All were multiple discs, except Reservation Road.

Re: CH Enrollment Codes Part II
It was just a hunch, not based on anything, but I know CH has inconsistent responses since there are so many ways to join. If you got those three movies to work inksketcher, that kills my theory. I've one or two entire enrollment lists full of SEs without a problem. I'll keep trying. If I get through on multiple accounts I guess I'll have some Ebay fodder to profit from. I really want those three Hitchcock sets.
