I mistakenly ordered 3 copies of the same title.
I have 2 Red Shoes Criterions arriving soon.I just looked at my order history and noticed that I ordered Red Shoes again the other day(I meant to order Ruling Class).Someone mentioned that when it is closer to the holidays,CH is a little more understanding when ordering more than 2 copies of 1 title(probably as long as it is no more than 3).
Anyway,I am a bit worried now that they might black list me.If they do ship it,does that mean I should have nothing to worry about,or should I just return it?

It is unlikely that you would be blacklisted for ordering three copies; you'd have to be pretty unlucky for that to happen. It is probably best to do nothing and hope for the best.

I signed up on-line for a membership on 10/21 and it was approved on 10/24. I've received all the DVDs I plan on buying with that account except for one preorder due to ship next week. I applied for a second membership on 10/25, as I've read that you can maintain 2 memberships at a time for the same name/address. I just got a written rejection for the 2nd membership. Both memberships were set up with credit cards on which I never carry a balance. My CR is over 800, any ideas? Should I just call to set up another membership?

I had exactly the same problem but Lizard helped me out a few posts back by giving me their email address, [email protected], I sent them an email asking for the same thing and got one back confirming they have recieved it and will get back to me within two business days.

Signed up by phone using the 98W 7/2 code. All went well during the conversation; we'll just have to wait and see if the account is confirmed.

I just received an order from like 3 weeks ago, but something is missing. The sad thing is, I have no idea what! I ordered two HD-DVD's, and got 3 titles free. I received one HD-DVD and the 3 free titles. This order isn't showing up in my order history at all. Do you think they would see if it I call them?

The other item is not listed on the invoice included other. I know sometimes it says "shipping separately" but not in this case...

They shipped my box set to me in bad shape... the corners are all effed up on my Viv.pe.almod box/case...

Should I call them and complain in hopes for some new box or would they take notice about the whole price issue?? What're other's opinions on this?

i'd call them and tell them that you received damage product and then they'll ship you a replacement. sometimes they won't even make you send the items back and other times they'll send you a return label.

Ok, I've got a question for the rest of you:

Not long ago I had an account, which was several years old, that was canceled without me asking (I used it for research for the "Enrollments" thread). Tried to log in as usual and no-go. Then a few days later I got an enrollment package for a new account!

Anyone else had an older account canceled without asking? (I'm not talking about being blacklisted, just closed with no explanation.)

The mysterious workings of Columbia House...

Anybody ever had this happen?

I put in an application for a new account (happened to be all FOX titles, BTW) and I didn't even receive a "Thanks for your application" email. I got zip, zilch nada.

What's up with that?

Here's a question that no one will be able to answer: How come when you go to cancel your account, sometimes it lets you do it online but other times it tells you to call a CSR? I know the concept behind calling a CSR to cancel is so that he or she can talk you out of it and try to sell you something else, but this inconsistency really blows.

Lost apps are part of the wonder and mystery that is Columbia House. Usually it's people who've cycled many accounts who have trouble opening new accounts, but it can happen to first-timers, too. You should call up CH at 800-262-2001 to apply over the phone with a live CSR, which has a much higher success rate than Web apps. Be sure to have your promotional code (and PSN if needed) ready, along with the list of movies that you want WITH their product numbers to save yourself time and aggro.

Well, it's weird because I'bve had lots of apps that didn't go through but this is the first time I haven't even received the confirmation email stating they received my application. Guess I should just try again, eh?

How may open accounts can you have, I have one regular account which I have had for sometime and a tv account, i applied for a second tv account about a month ago and of course got no response, I took it apon my self to apply again this month I got the welcome to the club email, then today got another welcome to the club email, so from the looks of it I have three tv club accounts, I can close one no problem as it is fullfilled but do not know if I need to.

^Columbia House usually seems to limit accounts to two of each kind of club, although CSRs have told us that they have no set policy.

Some here have reported three open accounts at the same time, without difficulties. However, many of us, when applying for a third account, have received letters asking us why we want more than two. So there may be some sort of informal limit.

If it turns out that you really do have three open TV Edition accounts, I'd close the old one just to be on the safe side.
