Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Now that you mention it, my last order was also in March of 2009. I have one more fulfillment to buy but haven't been able to find a decent sale offer for BDs since then.

Well, we've had a nice run. Some of those "perfect storm" codes and sales were epic. Hopefully we'll get something coming up soon. At least I can redeem points for Blu-ray discs now.

CH says it cannot retrieve my order history at this time. Must have been a long time ago for me. I can't even remember what the last DVDs would have been for me.

^Be careful. I haven't tested your code but the "BOGO" offer I just received was a fake: buy a DVD now and I will be given another BOGO offer code in July. In effect, it is a B2G1F plus full shipping. Utterly worthless unless one is going to buy something at regular prices anyway.

This code came through email offer just sent out this morning.
I know what you are saying though Lizard. They were promoting the bogus bogo code earlier, which is why it's confusing that they just came out with a new bogo code. I wouldn't have expected to see a new bogo till July.
Oh well, happy to see this new code and fulfill a couple accounts.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
I had a 7:2 application that was in limbo from back in November that got approved mysteriously in February. Of course, I only received 5 of my 7 enrollment selections. So not only does CH owe me 2 SD movies (which I'm having trouble selecting 'cause they're not Blu), but I still have to find 2 more to fulfill. Hopefully, they'll see the errors of their ways between now and February 2012 and offer a B1G1 for Blu-Ray.
I have nothing to lose since there's no point in churning accounts any longer. I can wait it out.
06-28-10: Update - I finally settled on Frozen River and An education for my two outstanding selections. I liked both movies a lot and didn't feel they needed to be in Blu.

Standard BOGO(Blu-ray cannot be the freebie, no free shipping)-
20100707DT1D2
Good through July 11.
Let the CH bashing commence.

Edit: Code does not seem to work....
Edit II: Code does work, but it seems Blu-ray can not be the qualifier this time.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
^Also does not work with a set as a qualifier...
Offer details quote:
"Hurry, Buy 1 get 1 DVD ends on 7.11.2010 at 11:59pm, EDT. This offer does not apply towards video games, non-DVD merchandise, your Director's Selection, Upcoming Releases, Blu-ray, Sets and other specially priced items."
Usually that blurb means you can't take one of those items "free"... now they can't be used as qualifiers.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
^Interesting. The only way I can get it to work is to remove all sets. If I add *any* set all other selections revert to the $7.95 "sale" price. Remove the set and one of the non-set selections becomes "free". This is on both a fulfilled and unfulfilled account. I'd use this to fulfill it it'd work with a set...

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Here's their logic (I think):
Blu-ray is currently 40% off, sets are also 40% off. They are no longer allowing discounted items to be used as qualifiers for BOGOs. You need to pay "full price" on the first item in order to get the second one free.
I know this is contradictory to the way it's been in the past, but it seems they have intentionally eliminated the ability to combine promotions.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Disappointing that this BOGO code can't be used to buy a Blu-ray/set and then take a free dvd. I had been using those to fulfill my open accounts (as the free dvd is still counting as a fulfillment in that particular situation). I think that this is just a lame code, and we'll of course see an actually useful BOGO again sometime in the near future.
It does suck that the codes are not as common as they used to be. I'm still getting some use out of the club though, just not as much as the "good ol' days".

I know this is slightly OT, but this bonus points system is completely worthless for me. I would only buy Blu-rays from them at this point, but you can't ever use the bonus points towards them because they are never "regularly priced." They've also got them marked down by some 40% BS which still isn't any kind of deal to begin with. And if they ever do have a coupon code that deals with Blu-rays, you wouldn't be able to use bonus points then either. I really want to cancel my account, but I keep holding out hope that something lucrative will come along. I guess it's the same for most of you, too.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
You can use bonus points for Blu-ray, but you need to have enough points to cover the full retail price (the one lined out).
If you put the item in your cart you will see the option to use your points to get it free. Of course you'll need an awful lot of points to get a free Blu-ray from CH!
