An order from 1/26 stills shows as processing. It did include any preorders, but was a large order. Is CH good about updating an order with shipping information?

I did late last week for a day or so. I did a refresh of the page and suddenly everything was back to normal.

Does CH promptly update an order's shipping information when shipped and/or send out a prompt email when an order is shipped? Or are they a couple days behind (e.g. like Disney Bluray club, where you often receive an order before the website shows "shipped")?

I'm not sure about the website, but I know the last order I had, a got the shipment confirmation email the day after I received the order

When I made my 2 large orders earlier in the week, I don't recall a "free" upgrade to expedited shipping being offered. As a result, everything is still "processing" according to the site. I'm content to wait on things a bit. It's not like I'm hurting when it comes to having unopened stuff to watch.

I was surprised. Both Standard and Expedited were $12.94, so of course I selected Expedited... My packing slip actually had a red RUSH stamp on it. Granted, only 6 of my 20 items were shipped...

I contacted them earlier in the week about my one outstanding order from the $20.14 coupons. I got a response today:
At this time, we are experiencing a slight delay in the shipment of orders. This is a temporary situation, and will be resolved shortly.

Yep, looks like it's back up. Just checked my accounts and there's been progress on the 2 large orders I made earlier in the week. 14 of 20 items have shipped in 1 order and 16 of 18 in the other one. Pretty good considering several of the unshipped items are pre-orders.

It's a good thing I chose priority because CH refuses to put padding in their boxes. (My Breaking Bad set from last year arrived with a single piece of packing paper that really did nothing at all) Received a large box with Dexter, Friday the 13th, Chucky, Chuck, Murder She Wrote, Twilight DVD set (made a mistake, which I corrected on my 2nd order) and some misc. TV sets. All thrown in the box with no padding at all. Dexter though is in it's own box, so it had a little extra protection. Surprisingly everything looks OK. There are some rounded corners and Chucky has a floater, but I guess its OK.

I received part of my order today. I ordered the 30th Anniversary Halloween Commemorative Set. The one I received was not sealed. Not only that, but it had a dust bunny larger than a superball in the box next to the mask. The mask is also covered with a thick layer of dust. The box also looks like it's been banged around a bit. Haven't ordered from them since 2012; but have never received a used item from them before.

How do you even go about returning damaged items to them on the site nowadays? I don't see an option on there now. Is it better to call them or email them?

I recently had to return something to Literary Guild and it should be the same process. If you go to the bottom of the CH page and click on "Contact Us" you can let them know that you want to return an item and the reason why. I was sent a return label a few days later, so would think they would do the same for you.
