Re: What's the most reliable 4K UHD BD player?
As tempting as it is to buy a standalone 4Kbluray player, at this point I'm getting the impression the only reliable "player" left is to watch such 4Kbluray discs on a computer with a 4Kbluray drive + software player (whether legit or unofficial). Though this is not really saying much, considering there are only two manufacturers left still making new 4Kbluray computer drives (LG and Pioneer).
The times I wanted to purchase a 4Kbluray player, it was abruptly cut short when I came to the realization that the 4Kbluray titles I wanted to buy at the time, turned out to be crappy movies or were catalog titles I only ever watched once or twice.
The most recent case of this happening, is I've been eyeing the Mandalorian being released on 4Kbluray next month. Though after reading the episode summaries on wikipedia and the starwars fandom specific wikis, I get the impression it sounds like a crappy show. (I haven't watched the Mandalorian yet).

I have a PS5 now so I’m going to try using it for my 4K discs. I know there are better dedicated models on the market but I’ll see how it goes.

I've had my 4k player about 2 years and getting the itch for another. I'd like it to include Dolby Vision. Probably start looking next year. My current player is still going strong, though.

Andor is fucking brilliant and is the closest to the anti-Imperialist tones that Lucas has wanted since 1977.
No comments about players since I use my PS5 and XSX, but I wanted to let you know about the Mandalorian.
