it might be your player. usually paramount runs separate tests on about 300 different players when checking the test dvds.

No problem on the airplane scene for me. Got mine from Amazon, using a Panasonic DVD player.

Have no problem on the airplane scene either. I got mine at Best Buy in Annapolis and am using a Toshiba 3900 player.

Is the PS2 connected directly to the TV or is it running through a VCR or amplifier or something? This light to dark effect is what commonly happens with copy protected discs, when the player is connected to another device before goint to the TV... if you hook it up directly to your TV, I'm sure it will play fine.

Anyone get a strange smell from the packaging? Almost a gasoline smell?

It is connected through my VCR. I'll check that out tonight. THANKS MDC!

Circuit City in Hanover, MD had about 20 copies this afternoon. When I was buying them, the salesperson said "Oh, we got those back in". I guess they got another shipment today. Anyone who hasn't gotten it might want to take another look or make some phone calls.

Anyone have a problem on the 1st disc menu, no matter if you click 1st episode or 2nd episode it automatically goes to the 1st episode, you have to use the play all feature and FF to the 2nd ep

I was thinking about picking the set up (Chappelle is hilarious!!), and now that I know it may be hard to find, it's suddenly something I MUST have! I'll probably trek out to BB tonight, but I'm guessing they won't have it, since it seems to be out-of-stock everywhere.

I did have that problem. I thought at first that I just accidently clicked on episode one by mistake, then I tried it again, and the same thing happened. Then I tried to PLAY ALL and chapter forward to episode two, but it started over with that car commercial parody when it got to the end of episode one. I thought I must have a defective disc with episode one on there twice, but I finally got episode two to play. After I did the Play All feature, I went back to the menu and accessed episode two directly from the menu. An odd glitch, if you ask me. I think that's the first time I've seen something like that happen on a DVD.
