Yeah, yeah I know but until I can afford a lighted display case large enough to house my LOTR statues, that's where Mr .Cave Troll & Mr. Treebeard will stay.

I got mine from a Craft type chain store called ACMoore. I dont know if you have them in your area, but they are great frames ($14.99 and sometimes on sale for $9.99). They are completely straight and look great. There very thin too. I am about to have to go buy 3 more cause my GF wants to put up the three Harry Potter Movie posters on the other side of the wall (behind the sony wega TV). Every one ask me where I got them and then every one goes and buys them at ACMoore. They have 27X40 and 27x41 (which are what mine are)

It would take him until he's 90 just to organize that mess.

Don't you know that DVDs piled on top of each other make Baby Jesus cry?

Austin. You probably have more DVDs than my local BB, CC, BBV and Hollywood Video

How many years does it take you to watch them all?

I forgot to ask you earlier. I know we have the same equipment rack, but how much does your reciever weigh? I am worried about putting my Yamaha RX-V3300 on the glass shelves because it weighs about 50 pounds! Thanks.
It should be fine. My Denon 2802 weighs 26lbs, but the shelves are fairly sturdy. If you are really worried, you can always put that badboy on the very top.

Agreed. Come on dgc, you have the nice B&W's and you're putting something on them?
How do you like the 600 series anyway dgc? I have the 604's up front, same center channel, the DS 6B's for the dipole sides and the same rear surrounds as you. I personally am in love with them. Then again I spent a good 4 months testing out a boatload of other brands before I decided on them too

And Austin54, that is one of the most amazing collections I have ever seen

Thank you guys. I am having a good laugh after the last topic.
They are organized by rough alphabetical. (Not what is in the boxes).
I have talked to managers at BB and HV and I owned more titles than they do, but not number of copies. Example I own one copy of a title rather than 40.
Yes they do collapse. I was working in the back (you didn't see pictures of the wing. Yes there are more) and I heard a noise. A wall of videos came down on me. It took me an hour to get out and I was covered up to my chest.
No I do not own a store, but I will be selling off parts of it. Many of the titles are op and will not be reissued on DVD. About 250 will be posted shortly.
As for quality - I have most of the mainstream stuff. It is the obscure material I am looking for now. I should have taken pictures of the CC collection.
I watch between 1 and 3 titles per day
I started collecting in 92. Most of the video stores closed since then and I have picked up the leftovers
Any more questions? I do not have time to enter them in DVD Profiler. When I started the Internet wasn't that big.
Austin

Austin -- case study of an obsession gone way out of control.

I have about 225 titles and I've been "collecting" for 5 years now. After I fill my latest DVD stand I'm going to throw a title away for each one purchased. Enough is enough!!!
