I posted the info for both the Target & Wal-Mart Bonus DVDs way back when on one of the FF Threads when it was released. I can't remember what's exactly on the Target disc but it pretty much rounds up to a couple of featurettes and trailers.

Search my Previous Postings (from last year) if you want to dig up the info. Me lazy (and at work).

I need a volunteer (or two or three).

I make the rounds every week to Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, and Walmart; and hopefully see every exclusive that they have at those stores.

I need someone who either works at or regularly goes to the FYE stores, the Sam Goody type stores, Tower, Borders, and Costco to let us know what exclusives they get. I know that we miss these regularly.

I know that many of you help out a lot and find things and I appreciate it. But I would love to know that someone who is at those stores anyway would commit to helping keep this thread updated.

Anyone up for it?

Trevor, the 100 page all-new Stan Lee story comic book with X-Men 3: The Last Stand – Collector’s Edition is present in every copy of the Collector's Edition everywhere. It's the studio's incentive (along with the collector tin itself) to buy it and is exclusive to no retailer.

Thanks. Hopefully this means that I can resist buying it. I loved the first 2 X films, but did not enjoy the 3rd very much.

Nothing for Medium season two? I'm glad that you guys are doing this, by the way. I missed out on so many great bonus discs by preordering at Amazon. Never again.

Trevor, and everyone else, it appears I was unintentionally faulty. The Target version of the X-MEN: Collector's Edition is different from other retailers' versions in several ways. First, and most importantly, it is in a limited edition tin, whereas other retailers offer basically a digipak with a see-through sleeve of artwork over it. Second, the Target version includes a set of deluxe trading cards "featuring your favorite X-MEN heroes and villains"; I see no mention of this on other retailers' packages. Lastly, the comic book in the standard CE release is listed as including "a NEVER-BEFORE-RELEASED X-Men comic book written by Stan Lee with illustrations by world-renowned Marvel illustrators, plus three more of Lee's favorite classic X-Men comics with all new introductions", but the comic in the Target tin is listed as a reprint of the first Giant-Size X-Men comic from 1975. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused; Target ads feature some tricky writing sometimes...

Also - the Target version does not contain "Exclusive" alternate endings. Just the ones from the regular DVD.

EDIT - BUT depending on which DVD you do get, you're going to end up with either 10 Deleted Scenes or 21! Good hunting!

Also - The Wal-Mart Bonus DVD "X-Men Revealed" is actually a history of the X-Men in comics. Not a behind the scenes featurette.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet or not, but Wal-Mart has the Little Mermaid DVD packaged with an exclusive bonus 10-song CD and lyric book.

haha...sorry guys. I may try to compile a trade list/sale list of some of the extra bonus disc i have laying around...if anyone would like to do the same. We can get a specific thread going in the trade forum, and Trevor can add the link to the opening post.

if any of you would be up for that

Also, is the actual DVD in the Target exclusive tin the same sealed package as all other stores complete w/ sku?

I ask because I'm more tempted to buy the Target version if I know I can re-gift the DVD easily, keeping the cool tin and comic/cards.

Huh?
Because of Fox's screw-up....some copies of X3 are shipping with 21 deleted scenes while others are being shipped out with 10.

Check out the X-Men: The Final Stand Thread for more. It's a crap-shoot on which version you get.

68 minutes. Inteviews with past creators about the 40 year history of the X-Men. Good stuff if a bit fluffy at times.
