I thought that a beefed up R1 release of this movie would make me a happy man but R1 is getting the screws real bad on this. Most times I can live with what the studios choose to release here but I wanted this title to be the ultimate release and it isn't shaping up to be that at all for us here in R1.

Unfortunately, the Aussies have decided to slap big labels on all their covers now, and that big blue banner with the "M" kills the deal for me.

I'll probably end up getting this from another region for the DTS and extra discs, just gotta find out where from.

EDIT: Looks like I'll probably end up getting the German version, as of now. Anyone know if this one will have English subtitles?

English subtities.....that made me laugh.

A UK 3-discer has a release date of 12/26/05, no doubt the same material as the Aussie version. Alasm they plaster their ratings codes all over the front, too.

Maybe I'm wrong but seems we're getting here in R1 pretty much the same content as in other regions. Theirs is just spread over more discs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So where can an Australian order than German version from?
I might as well get Dellamorte Dellamore on DVD while I'm at it.

I'm pretty sure cd-wow does free shipping worldwide, but I could be wrong. That's the first place I would try though.

http://www3.cd-wow.us/promotion.php?..._1&affid=14282.

Unfortunately, it looks as they don't carry Dellamorte Dellamore. I got the Italian version of that from xploitedcinema a few years ago. I don't know how their international shipping is.. It's such a great movie, and definately in my top 10.

Is there something that the Australian version has that the German doesn't? They're both PAL, and the German has a 4th disc with the theatrical cut, as well as being cheaper. Definately seems like the way to go unless I'm missing something.

I agree with JM,no DTS is not the end of the world and the R1 disc should kick major ass. I can not wait for it!

I checked this link and a couple of Aussie retailers I use, and according to them the audio is DD 5.1, no mention of DTS Am I missing something here? Of course I will probably buy the R4 or R2 versions just to avoid another Universal flipper.

You're the man, fortinbras! Thanks for doing that translation for us.

I went ahead and took the plunge and ordered this off cd-wow yesterday. Looks like it's gonna be one of the best packages out there, and I can get rid of my R1 theatrical cut with the horrific cover.

I know some will complain of PAL speedup and wait to see what Japan has to offer, but I've never even noticed it.

fortinbras just confirmed what I said earlier, that the content is the same, only presented differently. I'll stick with my NTSC R1 preorder and a free King Kong ticket.

Long time lurker, first time poster here (don't ask why, as I have no clue). This was out at my Best Buy yesterday, so naturally I picked it up. It does, in fact, include a King Kong voucher. Come to think of it, that's the ONLY thing in the case, other than the disc itself.
