I'm abit jealous of your Target exclusive, I'm coming to San Francisco in October But I think the nearest Target is some way away. In regards to the figure I saw on this site
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...90&mode=retail says september, but this UK site says December http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/ind...ducts_id=32557
Any chance of a picture/link of the lithograph or the Target cover?
For your KK collection you pretty much have the same as I did. I must admit, now I wish I didn't sell my stuff. But thats the way it goes sometimes!

Slick set up JD .. very nice, and refined .. and displayed!! Quick question .. that cool Incredibles car that compliments your R2Jap LE .. any input as to where one might able to acquire one?

BTW .. where are your R2Jap Finding Nemo and Monster's Inc sets!!!??? I was lucky to grab the Monster's Inc and Incredibles sets during an amz.jp price drop .. but Finding Nemo really set me back on eBay. Very worth it though ... the art book alone is incredible ..

Thanks ..

JDSlater1: What's with all the Mr and Mrs. Smith DVD's? I didn't even know they made that many versions.

visitor Q, I got the Incredicar ( it's actually remote control, and makes some really good noices ) for £10 in a Disney store after the film came out. The reason I didn't get the other sets in the Amazon.jp sale is that I don't love those films as much as I love the Incredibles. I also already had the Mr Incredibles bust so to add the other 2 was easy. I have those other films as the normal 2 disc version with slipcases somewhere and I'm happy with them. But they are beautiful sets!
Michael Ballack, I truely wish I could answer your question! I got the 2 HMV UK exclusives first and when more versions got released around the world I got them as well, the Hong Kong versions have superb packaging. I also have a few Smith cinema programs aswell but I have no where to put them YET!

There are several Targets near San Francisco. Daly City is just minutes away from San Francisco and BART (our version of the tube) stops right near it. If your looking to get the exclusive V DVD there I suggest getting there early on Tuesday because they run out of special editions like that by noon. Target usually opens around 8 a.m. If you have a car it's right off the 280 freeway. You can't miss it. If I can navigate through London; I think anyone can navagate through San Francisco. It's really easy. BTW, you should hit up Chinatown; there's quite a few DVD stores there that carry foreign discs.

Thanks for the info mrhan, but I'm not going till October and I'm afraid they might be sold out till then. i have asked a US friend to get that and the Best Buy V for Vendetta set and post them to me. So fingers crossed.
When I arrive there I will take a trip to that Daly City branch just to see what they have anyway.
How difficult would it be to get to the nearest Best Bay in that area?

why do you have so many versions of mr. and mrs. smith. For one the movie sucked, and two I don't understand why you would own more than 2 versions of any film. To me this spells insanity.

I answered this a few posts ago. Personally I like the film. I like Brad Pitt in these sort of roles. And to be honest I'm hardly the 1st person to buy loads of versions of the same film! Look at how many Evil Dead DVD versions out that have similar extras out there.

While I haven't seen Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I couldn't see myself owning more than 2 versions of a film (theatrical and director's cut). But if that's what jdslater wants to do with his money, good for him! I'd rather take that money and buy a different film, instead of gaining one featurette or whatnot, but that's just me.

cant u guys display a bit more tollerance? the movie sucked in YOUR opinion, the financial success shows that others may like it!
also, as u can see the user is a collector who has a whole mmsmith display. therefore he bought all those versions not just to watch them but for display purposes. calling it insane to me just proves that you can accept no other tastes and opinions in your life but your own.....
especially in a serious collectors forum i would have expected a bit more understanding for such "insane" behavior.

I agree 100%. I really hope this doesn't get out of hand like the last 2 or 3 threads, but I really admire jdslater's collection and displays. So what if you don't like the movie, you don't have to insult someone's taste just because you didn't like it. I am planning on building displays just like jdslater's for V for Vendetta, Sin City and King Kong and plan on buying as many different versions there are on dvd for each title, just to display them.

I love jdslater's movie collections a lot. They look fabulous and, if you really like a movie, why the hell not do it up? He gave me some ideas on displaying my Evil Dead movies, and for that, I am very grateful.

Sweet collection and setup! This is giving me ideas that I'm certain my husband would prefer that I not have as it will impact the family budget ;-).

I like the overall theme with collecting multiple 'collectors' versions of these films, very nice.

jdslater1, I love that steelbook Batman Begins case. In fact, your entire Begins shelf is slick. If I were into the toys, I'd bet a truckload that I would have a shelf like that one.

Once again thanks for the remarks. I do like collecting different versionsof the same film ( as do alot of people ).
kyzersoze11, that Pulp Fiction is the French R2 3 disc version. It has English DTS and the 3rd disc has 5 songs from the soundtrack. It's designed like a book, it's pretty pretty thick and has pages printed on the sides. Very nice set.
gryffinmaster, don't get me started with the Batman stuff! Sometimes it's hard to control ones self. Now I have Superman to look forword to!
