Welcome Sledheavy,

I have one question... What are those things on the top shelf? They look familiar, but I just can't place where I've seen them before. I sort of remember we had them when I was in school, I think.

harpo787 your place looks fantastic. I love the set up of both your collection and your house. I am going all green eyed monster over your house, I must admit.

You should have some nice mold growing in that conversation pit.

Just an update to my theater as I got posters and lightsabers up. I have more posters but not enough wall space in this place as I did at my last place so posters will rotate every so often or something.

Which lightsabers are those and where'd you get the holders for them?

Love the symmetry you have there. It'd kill me though not to have all the Star Wars posters though, but that's the OCD-Completionist in me.

Harpo, research projectors. Seriously, you'll never go back, and with a room like that...it's just begging for one!

I think he has all of the Master Replica Force FX light sabers. I once had a link to the place that makes the holders, but I lost it...sorry!

Infrared Sight: Let's see a pic with all of the light sabers on!

Jacoby: I don't doubt there's mold going on in there...not to mention the "seating" closest to the window, I'm pretty sure the wood is rotting. One time I stepped in that area to open a window and definitely felt it buckle.

Anubis: I've begun to do so. I'm going to use the cash gift from Uncle Georgie towards picking one up. Unfortunately, I don't know too much about the projectors, good brands etc. I'm sure I won't be able to afford top of the line stuff. Any suggestions?

That last question is for anyone who's got projector knowledge.

EDIT: Oh yeah...will I need a screen when I've got big blank walls?

harpo787,

With 20ft+ ceilings, you need to get your cat a nice high-rise play post instead of that pathetic 2-footer thingie. Your cat will thank you.

Here's a newer shot of the shelving with the books added on.

Having seen some other collections in this and prior threads, I decided to try to keep movies and tie-ins together, whether it be figures or books or whatnot.

Here's the other shelf. This one is pretty much all DVDs (and a couple of books).

Here's a shot of an audio shelf thing I picked up and turned into a book stand. Initially was just going to be movie reference books (Videohound, Ebert, etc.) but decided to toss a few other reference books there as well, like the F Word book.

This is the other side of the same shelf. I "t-boned" the wall with it so I could use both sides.

Hey thanks Harpo, you're absolutely right: there's another one that's going right next to it soon. And yes, those are books.

I'll post a pic of the RANDOM wall this place has and maybe you guys can figure out what to do w/ it.

Thanks for the comments guys. The lightsabers are Master Replicas and from left to right...Mace Windu Episode 2, Anakin Skywalker Episode 2, Darth Maul Episode 1(two halves make complete full blade), Luke Skywalker Episode 6, Darth Vader Episode 5. On the posters I do not have Episode 2, 3, or 5 so thats why ESB is not up there. When I do get those, I will always put prequels and original trilogies up together. I need new batteries for the lightsabers so I will post that in a day or so all lit up.
Here is the link to the site that sells the holders.... http://64.113.100.142/thumbnail.asp?cid=44

Edit:Here are the lightsabers lit up. Picture 1 is with camera flash, picture 2 is with no camera flash for darkness.

Also, some people just use an exacto knife and cut through the security labels on the edges of the cases instead of removing them.
