What do you mean? They just cut the security label in half and then don't remove it? Or am I misunderstanding you?

LAFF! I'm ALWAYS thinking about the cats (Snoopy & Droopy)! If you look at the second pic in post 139, you'll see in the bottom that there's an empty shelf spot. That's there for them to cut through!

Upstairs in my bedroom there's a tower that's a bit over 6 feet tall. Unfortunately they're so crazy about climbing up the outside of it that it's unstable and can fall so it's pinned in a corner by a bookshelf. Without much surprise, the top of the bookshelf is cleared and they walk on it.

I would LOVE to make this a cat house, something like this: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...3Doff%26sa%3DN

I hope that link clicks...oh well.

I've actually seen some of his videos. He or his parents must have a lot of money.

On the posters I do not have Episode 2, 3, or 5 so thats why ESB is not up there. When I do get those, I will always put prequels and original trilogies up together. I need new batteries for the lightsabers so I will post that in a day or so all lit up.
Here is the link to the site that sells the holders.... http://64.113.100.142/thumbnail.asp?cid=44

Edit:Here are the lightsabers lit up. Picture 1 is with camera flash, picture 2 is with no camera flash for darkness.

Awesome!

i cant say what the reasoning is for everyone - not a bad question to ask in the covers, cases, and inserts forum - but my main reason for doing that is so i can help ensure each dvd is an original issue, in case, with original artwork, etc.

my second reason is because im a freak

Out of curiosity, does anyone with the large bookcases (ie. Ikea Billy, etc) actually use the wall attachment setup? I like the idea of fixing mine to the wall - except that I'm renting an apartment and I'm a little paranoid about stuff like that right now. I also need to pick up an electric drill sooner or later.

Anyone ever had one of their cases tip over (barring a California earthquake)?

I didn't use the wall attachment that came with my shelves. I'm in an apartment too though and didn't really want to put holes in the walls for it. Not sure what an earthquake would do to mine though

Tuan Jim:

My two taller cases are from Ikea, and I've not bolted either to the wall as of yet. I'm just not certain of their permanence of their current location.

I'd have to think if you have them flat against the wall that you should be fairly safe. One or two ways to make a VERY rough judgment: just look at how close it is to the wall at floor level and how much further it is from the wall at the top. That way you can see if it's leaning forward. Another test is, if you can, reach the top shelf and give it a light tug forward, see how much (if any movement) you get it.

The other thing to consider is just how much activity happens around your dvds. Do you have friends that drink, have parties...what are the odds of a drunk friend (or yourself) stumbling into the case. Obviously, that's a greater consideration for me, being that it's not flush against the wall.

EDIT: Fuman, if I were living an earthquake-prone state, I'd DEFINITELY use the wall attachments! Not sure how protective they'd be, but better than nothing I'd suppose.

I love how they are in alphabetical order only by the first letter. The c's go like this: Chucky, Christmas vacation, Condemned, Croc dundee, Casino Royale, Crank, Cops, Cradle to the grave, cry wolf.

No, I don't, but I'm sure I should. I rent an apartment as well:

I love how the E's are almost entirely taken up by ERNEST movies. And that he has JURASSIC PARK III but not either of the first two. I had to stop after that.

I don't even like Star Wars, but I have to admit that is a kick ass display you've got there. Who needs Christmas lights when you have glowing lightsabers? Good shit, dude.

What the hell? Does the first guy just go to anyplace they sell DVDs and say "Gimme what ya got?" It's not the fact that he's listing off terrible movies but that he's listing every comedy ever made in the 90's. Is there anything this guy doesn't like?

The second guy has horrid taste in movies. He's got remakes of classics but not the classics themselves. He has Land of the Dead and the Dawn of the Dead remake but not Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, or Dawn of the Dead. If ya got Land you should atleast have Dawn the original. Atleast he has the original Halloween along with the Rob Zombie version.

Slater, is that a Criterion of The Game? Is that an official release? I've never seen it anywhere before.
