Well I got the new History of the world heavyweight championship. Here is what it looks like which should come as no surprise. It looks pretty much the same as the other History DVD's enjoy! No I have not watched it yet but I'm getting ready too!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Forgot to add, the Kane & Taker busts are actually numbered, Kane 1/3500 and Taker 1/6500. I personally ended up with pretty high numbers, 3366 for Kane & 6447 Taker. Anyone have loose pics of the Bust sculpts?

re: History of the World Heavyweight Championship.

Did this come out years ago? If so, what's so different about this one?

The one that came out a few years back was The History of the WWE Championship, as in WWWF, WWF, and WWE. Think Bruno, Backlund, Hogan, etc.

This new one is The History of the World Heavyweight Championship, as in NWA, WCW, and the belt handed to Triple H in 2002. Think Race, Steamboat, Sting, etc.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Does anyone know if there's any method to the madness when WWE dubs over theme music? Theme music isn't a huge deal to me but I recently noticed that if you watch a DVD from say 2003/2004 Ric Flair's music is dubbed over with the song he used in '91/'92 with WWF. But then on the Savage DVD for Wrestlemania 8 they dubbed his song over with the one he used in 2003/2004.

Just wondering if anyone could explain that.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Just watched the new Jeff Hardy dvd. On disc 1 there is an extra called "The Original Hardy Boy" and it features Jeff, Matt and Shannon Moore hanging out and playing music with Jeff and Matt's dad. Pay close attention to Matt...he's completely shitfaced. Slurrs his words, eyes practically closed, 16oz Bud Light in his hand. Hilarious.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

just won the Attitude Collection DVDs of Best of Wrestlemania for $5.00, Best of Survivor Series for $14.50, and Best of RAW Volume 1 for $5.50.

Seller claimed they are basically brand new with no shrinkwrap but the 3 security stickers are sealed and haven't been opened.

Now i need Undertaker Phenom, Tables Ladders and Chairs and Eve of Destruction to complete the Attitude collection series.

I was going to post how I was just at Walmart and they had the new WWE History of the World Heavyweight Championship, Hell in the Cell, and the new Jeff Hardy DVD for $9.95 but I just checked the Walmart website and it lists them as being around $20 each. I did check the price sticker and made sure it said the name of the DVD on it so if you're looking for those DVDs check out your Walmart.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Doesn't look too bad. The Blu-ray will look the same most definitely.

Surprisingly Amazon.com doesn't have the Blu-ray listed but Amazon.ca and HMV.ca have it already. Might be like how Silvervision.co.uk distributed RR 2009, S.Slam 2009 and S.Series 2009 on Blu-ray in UK but not North America, so maybe the Best of RAW 2009 Blu-ray is Canadian exclusive for now.

I'm very excited for this. Even though the storylines were stale, there were still some great matches which I'd be very excited to see.

I went to my local walmart and the dvd that was 9.95 was the history of the wwe championship, the History of the WHC was 19.95.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

jim neidhart recently did a signing and said he shot some interviews with the wwe for a dvd that will be coming out focused on the hart foundation, not just the neidhart and bret but the entire hart family

they also teased a bret hart return on raw, this could tie in with that

The titles that are 9.96 aren't the new ones, they are the previously released "Hell in a Cell" 3disc set; Jeff & Matt Hardy "Twist of FAte"; & History of Championship 3 disc set. My local Walmarts also have the following titles for $9.96-Ladder Match, John Cena My Life, Triple H Evolution of the Game.

The new Hardy & World Championship DVDs are $19.96 each, while the new HIAC PPV dvd is $14.96.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

It was definately the older Hell in the Cell DVD that was I was talking about, not the recent PPV release. The price stickers of the others said Championship and Hardy so it must have been the older DVDs that I saw. They only had 4 different wrestling titles and I have all of them so I didn't really inspect them that closely.

Thanks for clarifying which titles they were.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

awesome looking cover!

On Amazon.ca, it looks like the title for the HBK DVD will be Shawn Michaels - My Journey instead of "His 25 Greatest Matches".

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

Got my Black Friday order from ROH, they sold out of Raven SOTR Vol 4, if anyone has one they're willing to part with shoot me a pm. Just more dvds to add to the 'need to watch' pile.

If anyone is waiting for Glory By Honor VIII: Final Countdown, it's now in stock & shipping, as it was the one dvd holding up my order.
