Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
Haven't seen this mentioned yet, but I have noticed that HMV in the UK have 2 exclusive DVD releases for 29th March: The Best of John Cena and The Best of Rey Mysterio. No listings are available on the content yet. Just thought I'd pass the info on.

Perhaps a continuation of the old 'Best of RAW and Smackdown!' series? :/

The artwork is similar, so you might be right. I forgot all about those 'Best of Raw and SD' series! I think there was suppost to be 10 of them but they only ever released 4.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
Over at WWEShop they now have "Shawn Michaels: My Journey" available for preorder. There are two packages one with a Shawn Michaels pendant and another with a T-Shirt with the DVD cover. Also dvd.wwe.com now has some sneak peak videos from the set. And I also found a preview video on Youtube from the dvd set with Shawn talking about his match last year with Undertaker... I don't want to spoil to much of the DVD before it's out but it's really hard not to watch these previews
Anyone heard of any exclusives or bonuses for this DVD set from any retailers? It doesn't seem as though there will be any, in which case I would order the DVD/T-Shirt package from WWEShop.

Personally, I'm always looking to buy the ppvs on DVD. From last year I have Royal Rumble to Extreme Rules, and SummerSlam to Bragging Rights, and I'm most likely NOT going to get this. To put it in perspective, the EC match is my favorite type of match, but the ppv was a two-match show. It wasn't like last year, where they also had Shane/Orton and HBK/JBL. This show had a good beginning and end, but nothing in the middle.

Looks like WWE is releasing two versions of Wrestlemania 26; 3 disc collectors edition and a regular 2 disc (according to Walmart.com).
They did the same thing for Wrestlemania 23, so i hope this means that the 3 disc will be packaged in a nice looking tin.

Are you sure the 2 disc set listed isn't just the blu ray version?

Turns out, they're a new, but similar, range called 'Best of WWE'. Both are up for preorder at Silvervision now.

My wife just picked up the John Morrison DVD for me since im home with a stomach virus
and I gotta say this is one of the worst WWE DVDs on a superstar in a long time. This should have at lest gotten 2 disc. They could have included some Johnny Nitro stuff and maybe even his tough enough stuff. They really dropped the ball with this release and I hope it isnt a sign that all Superstar DVDs are gonna be 1 disc from now on
![Frown](/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I would enjoyed seeing how he evolved from a rookie in Tough Enough to his status now. What a pathetic release. Even more insulting that Morrison gets a dvd release, and Chris Jericho still don't have one!!!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
The Blockbuster near me is going out of business and I picked up some of the Blockbuster exclusive discs that I've been looking for forever. Got Vengeance 2007 and Unforgiven 2007 for $5.99 each. They had Royal Rumble, but it was missing one of the discs. And they also had No Mercy 2007, but I passed on that for now. They are going to be closing next month, so I'm going to go back and see if I can pick up No Mercy for cheaper later. They also had Judgment Day and Summerslam, but I have those already. So as it stands, my Blockbuster collections has:
*No Way Out
*Wrestlemania
*Judgment Day
*Vengeance
*Summerslam
*Unforgiven
Anyone looking for standard copies of Vengeance and Unforgiven 2007?

For any interested in "Daniel Bryan" on NXT, ROH is running a sale on the shows with his best matches from his tenure in the company

APRIL 6th woohoo!
![](http://www.wwe.com/content/media/touts/feature/29062/13626736)
The Hart family has long served as Canada’s first family of Sports Entertainment, from patriarch Stu and his Stampede Wrestling and Dungeon, a training site that has produced multiple Hall of Famers, though sons Bret, Owen, on to a new generation of WWE Superstars, The Hart Dynasty. But the family’s journey was never a smooth one, as their accomplishments were often punctuated with devastating tragedies and loss. Now for the first time ever, fans can learn the entire story in Hart & Soul: The Hart Family Anthology. A brand new documentary chronicling more than 5 decades of family lineage is filled with never-before-seen Hart family interviews and supplemented with a dozen matches featuring Bret, Owen, Keith, Bruce, The British Bulldog, The Dynamite Kid, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, The Hart Dynasty, and more!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
Thought I'd give it a try and pre-ordered Rumble 2010 on blu-ray from Best Buy, just got a response.
It says that the item I ordered has a new release date of 05/04/2010!
Wonder if this will ever make it on blu?

From PWinsider:
"As we broke in the PWInsider.com Elite section earlier this week, World Wrestling Entertainment began production on a Ricky Steamboat DVD set two weeks ago.
WWE's production team began doing interviews with talent, including Steamboat for the DVD last week and are currently going through the libraries they own to decide on the best matches.
The hope is to have the DVD ready by late Spring/early Summer. I haven't heard on the format of the DVD yet, but expect it will be at least 2 DVDs."

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
Great news about the Steamboat DVD.
I think this would have been a perfect release last year just after his induction in the Hall of Fame.
But glad WWE are finally putting this out.
Hope a Jericho DVD will be released sometime later this year.

LOL, that's alright. You just have to give it 6 months or so and they'll be marked down to $20 at FYE cause they won't move like those Hell in the Cell Kane and Taker busts.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
A few thoughts...
I'm disappointed to read that there will only be a dozen matches on the Hart Family set. That definitely limits the scope of what I was hoping would show up in the collection. And especially dampens the chances of a solid cross section of full Stampede matches being included. Hopefully it's a typo and they meant to say TWO dozen...because there's so much out there that'd be worthy of inclusion.
A Steamboat set sounds really good, although he's had a lot of the matches I'd want in my collection already sprinkled around other DVD sets (Steamboat -vs- Savage, Jake Roberts and Flair especially). In fact, nothing matchwise really comes to mind except I'd like to see more of his old Mid-Atlantic stuff if possible. Does anybody have a "mock draft" of what they'd like to see?
And, yes, I'd like to pile on with the sentiment that we need a Jericho collection STAT!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII
Looks like Royal Rumble 2010 will be released on Blu-ray May 4.
Walmart.com has added it back confirming the date;
http://www.walmart.com/ip/13326065
Canada's date is still set for March 9, it will probably be delayed til May 4th, but i guess we will see.
