The other option would be to reply directly to them in the list thread and then delete your own post at a later time once they seem to acknowledge. Once again, maybe steer them to this thread?

Given that the MPAA no longer uses "X," and how few qualify for this challenge, perhaps going forward the X & NC-17 might be combined for the checklist? Otherwise, annual participants are going to have to begin re-watching specific movies on a rotating basis just to earn that one check.
I never heard back from them on my PM to them. I did notice that one of the posts was edited, but I'm not sure what was changed. Anyone else want to try? Maybe point them to this thread so we can help them out?

If anyone is interested, the entire Evil Dead: The Musical is available on Youtube, for now. Here's the link to Part 1. . Unfortunately, the uploader used an unregistered program to convert the file so that there's a watermark visible onscreen. Still, it's well worth watching.
I reckon the Youtube copyright cops are asleep because there's a ton of horror films on there right now.

Always seem to have slight trouble trying to find films to fit the ratings part of the checklist, so I did some research just now that will hopefully prove useful to others. I went through each year's list thread and tallied the films from the harder to fill ratings of G, PG-13, NC-17, and X. No fact checking done yet, so please feel free to give me corrections or additions.
G
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941)
Creature From the Black Lagoon
Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit
The Worst Witch
The Haunting (1963)
The Time Machine (1960)
Dracula Has Risen From the Grave
several Scooby Doo films I think
PG-13
NC-17
The Evil Dead
Man Bites Dog
High Tension
Frontiers
Pieces
Revenge of the Living Dead Girls
Scrapbook
X
Blood for Dracula
Cannibal Holocaust
Dawn of the Dead (1978) (DC)
The Devils (1971)
Evil Dead 2
Flesh for Frankenstein
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
The Hills Have Eyes
I Spit on Your Grave (1978)
Isla: She Wolf of the SS (1975)
The Last House on the Left (1972)
Snuff

Given that, I'd say either eliminate the "X" rating from the checklists *or* just use a NC-17 film in that slot since as far as the MPAA is concerned it's the same thing, just notated differently.

I'm really hesitant to throw myself out here as the defendant of Halloween II but I watched it for the first time this morning and I didn't see what is so wrong with it. It's a flawed film to be sure and my least favorite of Rob Zombie's movies.
Still I thought it was a decent follow-up to Rob Zombie's first Halloween. If you didn't like that one the sequel won't bring you around. I didn't take it too seriously and I didn't hate it. It's not a glowing recommendation but if you watch it you might not hate it either.

Children of the Corn is one of the best looking catalog titles I've seen on Blu-ray. I would definitely go that route, plus it has special features in HD.

Give Bad Reputation a go. I watched it earlier for the challenge, and it's really well made for it's budget. Very realistic characters. It's a shame Maverick got the distribution rights. A better company could have done more with it.

I watched the original Last House on the Left with commentary as part of today's theme. It features Craven and Cunningham. Best commentary I've heard yet. It was funny, enlightening, heartfelt, and a genuine good time hanging out with two "masters" of horror. I highly recommend.

Normally I avoid them like the plague, but once every blue moon there's one that gets rave reviews and just begs to be seen. Yesterday I caught The Crazies redux and, well, I didn't dislike it ...at all. In fact, quite a few of the re-visited Romero films (excluding Day) I've enjoyed. And I recently read an old Fango article written by Stephen King where he was giving praise to the new Last House on the Left. Naturally I'll have to check that one out now. The only downside is I feel dirty inside after enjoying them.

One good thing about remakes for the horror genre, is we usually benefit from the attention. Special editions and extra features/treatment start to appear.

Just finished a double feature of Madman and Friday the 13th.... the new Madman DVD from Code Red has some serious transfer issues, but I'm glad to finally own a copy of it, the fan made documentary on the extras was a nice bonus, I find it odd that the one guy owns so much Madman memorabilia, even getting custom made action figures and paintings done.
Now onto Friday the 13th Part 2 - I plan on finishing the entire series, remake, and documentary over the next couple days. \
