Almost forgot in the Black Friday madness. I received Hellraiser:

I think the oddly off spec works on this one. Thanks again and see you all next year.

I like the prints. I've been putting up stuff at my place this past week, which made me realize I need to get some new posters. Deadly Prey store is a potential candidate.

If anyone wants some extra time off for next year, we're basically between 9-10 months out... so have a child, use your paternity/ maternity leave. What a way to bond, newborns and horror films.

Funny enough that's how I got hooked into the challenge, I was up all night with my infant daughter anyway... hard to believe she is 15 and learning to drive now.

But the real question is...does she like horror movies?

I can sometimes get my daughter to watch horror movies but she has mastered the teenage art of indifference to most things; may she one day mature into the gore minded cheeseball of her birthright but for now if it's not soccer or driving it's noise.

I had the opposite experience. I though we'd be sitting around with our new baby, enjoying a plethora of movies... Nope, she was very colicky so we barely had a chance to watch anything.

Thought this would be an interesting read, especially considering the movie they listed as #1 :

I live in fear of the day when my movie buddy gets too cool to watch movies with me.

Same. My daughter is 14. I figure it's got to be coming.

It won't necessarily go away. It may thin out but hopefully it won't go away.

My son is coming back to visit for the holidays from college and he already mentioned wanting us to watch a few films together when he is here. And we always go see a movie when I visit him.

I just miss those times that he isn't around to watch the random movie during the week or weekend. My wife is not a movie watcher, so I basically have to beg her to view something with me. I am lucky if I get two movies a month out of her.

The only time my son broke my heart was when he was old enough to tell me he didn't need me to read to him anymore. I read to him every night and the night he told me that, I don't know if I have even been so devastated.

Hey everyone, for those who are on Letterboxd might know about the weekly challenges they do. One of the best Horror ones was done by Zack Long, who disapeared.. instead of letting it die, I did a Version of his. Figured some of you would like to partake. Easiest way... enter your streaming services in your profile and search the weeks topic by your services... makes it simple.

That sounds awesome! I keep meaning to do more with Letterboxd. Here’s a really good way to day that. Thanks! This will definitely help me to knock out some films I keep meaning to see. Or get to some of those recently purchased discs on the shelf that I have yet to watch.

I probably won’t be able to start til February (or at least end of January) but I don’t mind playing catch-up.
