Rules
Back by popular (?) demand, the Romance, Music & Musicals Challenge occupies a space sometimes held by the Academy Award Movie Challenge. This year's long runaway for that challenge just gives us more opportunities for double-counting in February! This year's challenge will also overlap with the Leap Day Challenge.
Eligible titles include romantic movies and TV shows, filmed concerts, music-themed movies, and musicals--they don't have to fit all three categories! So this is the time to catch up on the new theatrical musical Mean Girls, Maestro, Past Lives, Schmigadoon, leftover Hallmark Christmas movies, Stop Making Sense, Waitress the Musical, and whatever else strikes your fancy. Use your best judgment on qualifying titles or ask in the discussion thread, but we tend to be pretty lenient. Live events (concerts, stage musicals, etc.) can also be listed, but sorry, not your Valentine's Day date with your sweetheart or streaming an album on Spotify.
Post your list in the list thread. Be as creative or as basic with your list as you want.
You may number (or not number) the items on your list any way you like.

Not actually watching the Grammy’s. But saw this story come across Bing on my phone. Seemed appropriate given the challenge to post here.

Watched our first Hallmark movie in awhile, a 2011 Betty White tearjerker called The Lost Valentine. As expected, a bit sappy and melodramatic with several mediocre elements, but made me cry and I loved it.

Just touched on all three areas.
Unleashing Mr Darcy was an older Hallmark movie, but I like the spin on Pride and Prejudice, which made me want to watch more versions of P&P. Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe really only used character names, though.
I enjoyed the documentary on We Are the World.
Dicks the Musical is gross-out comedy, and I didn’t like it. I didn’t expect to, but it was on Max so I figured I’d give it a shot.

Gimme Shelter and In the Heights have been some of the highlights of the viewing month for me so far.
And remember that the Quadrennial Leap Day Challenge starts in a few hours, so potential double or triple Challenge credit will be active soon.

Starting at dusk tonight (the 28th) until dawn on March the 1st, there will be a ~36 hour crossover period where at least two different films, The Sword in the Stone (1963) and The Time Machine (1960), will count for quadruple Challenge credit.
These two films would count for February’s Romance/Musical Challenge, March’s Action/Adventure Challenge, the Quadrennial Leap Day Challenge, and the floating Academy Award Challenge. Don’t miss this chance to be part of DVDTalk history!

Staying up way past my bedtime, but I’m going to get those two quadruple credit items done!
