Got mine too. I'm not surprised either but it was worth a shot.

In a further attempt to break my bank account before the year is out, Google Checkout and buy.com have updated the checkout sale. It's now:

$10 off $30 or
$20 off $50!

It looks like buy.com got a new shipment of HD DVDs today as I noticed some of the titles I wanted are now in stock. I have abused that GCO $20 off $50 bonus offer. I have 11 HD DVDs on order now, averaging around $15 per title even with 2 of the more expensive combo titles in the mix.

Clearance HD-DVD Discs at Target

Saw a handful of Cinderella Man HD-DVDs on clearance endcap at Target tonight. Odd, since I've never seen a DVD on clearance.

$20 isn't a clearance price for a movie in my book. $5, that's a clearance price.

Thanks, got the last one today for 13.98. Marked at 19.99, but little "end-of-aisle" scanner said 13.98

That makes 4...now...just to get that HD-DVD player in my sig...preordered and all...

Speey has posted the Target ad that starts on 12/10. He's guessing the low price of Talladega Nights on BD will be $16.99. So if you don't want to wait for DDD to ship, this is a nice in-store price.

So 1 HD movie is 'HD DVD Discs'? Why not just say Cinderella Man HD-DVD?

Next time, you might ask a clerk where the clearance section is. I looked all over my Target for the disc and finally asked a clerk. He took me over to the back of the electronics section and they had a little 2' by 3' area for clearance items. They had 2 of the discs.

There might be more soon. It looks like for now they are only going to use a certain amount of display space for the HD/BluR DVDs. So I'm guessing when new titles come in, some of the older ones will be clearanced out.

There should have already been more than just Cinderella Man added. I know at mine, there's been at least 4 or 5 replaced with MI3, Nacho Libre, Kong, and Supes.

When I asked the clerk about Cinderella Man on clearance, he said it was strange that they were on clearance because normally they return them to the distributor for credit, so it might be a fluke.

For those wanting to order back-ordered HD DVDs from buy.com and the GCO bonus, here's a way that was posted on Fatwallet:

There is one way to use GCO on item that is back ordered.
After add item to cart paste the following url to address bar

http://www.Buy.com/basket/googlepaym...39&Image1.y=26
Copy and paste the link above after you have all the items in the basket, and click "go" next to the URL address or hit enter on your keyboard to get the URL going.

I guess I got the best deal on Cinderella Man. I picked mine up last night for $4.98.
