Starship Troopers is coming in Japan on 8/21, as well as Air Force One (which is also available now in the UK apparently). It looks like we may be getting an onslaught of BD announcements for the U.S. soon.

Yeah. Two of the three have already been announced. Still waiting on The Reaping, though. (The others are BBC titles that Warner is distributing, which is why I believe we got the announcements so early.)

Blech. 0 for 3 there. At least we're getting Elizabeth. Also, the trailers for the sequel suggest that will be one stunning HD release when it comes out.

Not officially announced yet, but it was mentioned in an AVS thread. DVD Pacific also has a 9/18 listing for the BD. I think it's safe to assume the date is legit. I'm hoping it's a great release.

Anchor Bay/Starz news

http://www.dvdreview.com/news/

Some more details about the Starz Blu-Ray titles

As reported here some time ago, Starz Home Entertainment and their label Anchor Bay Entertainment will release the first season of Masters Of Horror on Blu-Ray Disc in September. We have been able to uncover some more details about the release that you will find interesting.
The release will consist of 4 BD-50 discs containing all the 15 season 1 episodes in 1080p high definition video. Currently plans are to provide uncompressed PCM 5.1 audio tracks with the release but that may change, depending on the storage availability on the final discs. The set will also contain some – though not all – of the bonus materials found on the individual DVD releases of the episodes.
In addition to “Masters Of Horror” we have heard mention of another number of Blu-Ray titles from Anchor Bay, scheduled for Halloween. Look out for announcements of John Carpenter’s Halloween, Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead II and George A. Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead and Day Of The Dead to be released on Blu-Ray some time in September or early October.

So, is there any official word on Hamlet yet? The DVD is due August 14th and I'm getting worried the HD versions have been pulled...

We haven't gotten any releases for August at all, so hopefully it's just a matter of time.

Well, there's TMNT. I was concerned because we've heard about several September releases (Deliverance, the 2 Elvis movies, We are Marshall, Nip/Tuck, Smallville). We'll see. If it's not released yet I'll just rent the DVD.

French studio MK2 announces Truffaut's 'The 400 Blows' as its first title in HD DVD and Blu-ray for October

Unlike the studio's SD DVD, the hidef versions won't include English subtitles. dvdrama speculates this could be connected to a future hidef release by Criterion.
