Sure thing...make it cheaper since it has less on it. There had to be some cost associated with making these extras.

Instead of $28.99, make it $26.99 and give the BD supporters a bit of a discount for not including the extras.

Of course, I know its ridiculous, but again, im just saying I would be pissed if I was solely a BD supporter and wanted this movie.

themanroom has the blu-ray covers up for Blood Diamond and it thankfully has a PCM track. No back cover for the HD-DVD yet.

Well, at least they're not making it $39.98 and not including any extras. I was surprised when I saw the $30 MSRP, I thought it'd be at least $35. Kudos to Warner.

Weeds: Season 2 Blu-Ray 7/24

One of our retail friends has sent us news on the second season of Weeds, which will be released for DVD and Blu-ray on July 24. The sets include:

Exclusive marijuana mockumentaries
Commentaries by cast and crew
Trivia tracks
Musical performances
Gag reel
Showtime original content
...and more

Lionsgate has set the SRP for either set at $39.98, choosing not to add a premium to the Blu-ray set. We hope to have artwork soon.

V for Vendetta was priced as a catalog title about three months after the DVD release, so I wasn't surprised to see BD handled in the same way.

That's interesting that Weeds on BD will be the same price as the DVD. That's something I didn't expect to happen for a long time (if ever), so that is a surprise. Now if they could just do that for movies.

Good to see more foreign and genre titles being released.

I just saw this in the theater last night, though, and it looked and sounded like complete ass.

The movie itself was also way overhyped.

Warner Home Entertainment has announced they will bring the Drew Barrymore-Hugh Grant romantic comedy 'Music and Lyrics' to Blu-ray and HD DVD on June 12.

The musical hit, which earned nearly $50 million during its theatrical run this past winter, will hit both next-gen formats in a special edition boasting numerous bonus features.

Among the extras are a making-of featurette, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a fictional music video featuring star Hugh Grant, in character.

Tech specs include identical 1080p/VC-1 transfers on each version, plus Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks (at 640kbps). There will also be a stereo-only isolated music track, which includes the many mock-pop songs used throughout the film.

Warner has set a $34.98 list price for the Blu-ray version, and $39.98 for the HD DVD, which will be a combo HD DVD/DVD release.

Did anyone else order Nutty Professor from Amazon? Looks like they sold out of their pre-orders already, now it says "ships in 4-6 weeks".

Mine shipped yesterday, I'll have it today. On the other hand, I'm still waiting for them to send me The Jerk.
