What Dreams May Come is dopey as all get-out, but it has some amazing visuals and should look great in HD. I'd rather see Map of the Human Heart, though.

Paramount Announces 'Blades of Glory,' 'Shooter' and 'Zodiac' For HD DVD, Blu-ray Disc
May 29, 2007
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced 'Blades of Glory,' 'Shooter' and 'Zodiac' will be released on HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc this summer, but only one of three will debut alongside its DVD counterpart.
'Blades of Glory' will be released August 28, day-and-date with the standard DVD. It is expected to be presented in 1080p video and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio. Extras should mirror those found on the DVD, but have yet to be announced.
'Shooter' will be released on July 31, just over a month after its standard DVD debut. And 'Zodiac' won't bow until September 18, nearly two months after its standard DVD debut. Whether the delay will result in exclusive extra features or long-awaited lossless audio remains to be seen.
UPDATE: We've received the back cover art for both the HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions of 'Shooter' that confirms Paramount will, at least for this title, stick with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio for HD DVD and Dolby Digital 5.1 for Blu-ray Disc. On the flipside, Paramount has chosen to provide the extra features in 1080p high definition. They'll include 7 deleted scenes, The Making of Shooter, Independence Hall featurette, commentary with director Antoine Fuqua, and the theatrical trailer.

Wait a minute - Shooter and Zodiac aren't day and date!? That is fucking weak. I'm buying all three of those paramount releases regardless, but honestly, can't they get their shit together to get these released on time...what's the hold up?

It was hinted at by jiggawhat that Paramount will give Top Gun the TrueHD (HD DVD) and PCM (BD) treatment when it releases this year. I just don't know if that will be their debut title with hd sound.
