Just watched the Days of Glory Blu-Ray - great transfer which is very sharp and is very film like (ie some visible grain on long shots etc). There is some occasional shimmer (is that the correct phrase?) on things like forest floors but occurs maybe 3 times in the whole film, and then only for a few seconds. The box says 'Colour PAL' on it, and the runtime is just under 124mins - IMDB seems to report varying runtimes between 120min and 128min so I'm not sure why that is.... Fingers crossed this does not have the dreaded PAL speed up!

Audio is limited to Dolby Digital 2.0, 5.1 and DTS 5.1 (all in French/Arabic).

Thanks for the mini-review Ali. I had this pre-ordered with Bergman but Tartan keep pushing the date back, so I will have to wait until December.

Anyone have info on region coding for Thirteen Ghosts which comes out next week in the UK and Australia?

Also, anyone have info on The Company Of Wolves? It's listed at a few UK sites like Play, Sendit, Bensonsworld. The street date was 10/15. Was this actually released or was it just a rogue announcement? Any region code?

Thanks.

The Crimson Rivers will be region-free, not sure about subtitles yet. I have no information on the other two titles.

Bunkaroo: I am going to double check after dinner tonight, I believe second-third week of January for Fox, I will check later on and post back when I find the dates.

Cool - thanks. I'm definitely in for Crimson Rivers if it has English subs.

Yes, it is. A Japanese BR should play just fine in your US machine.

According to sendit.co.uk, the UK release of La Vie en Rose is deleted. Any other territories that might release this title?

La Science Des Reves from France still not released. Sigh.

it looks like Kill Bill has been rescheduled for UK release on 30th March 2008 if Amazon is to be believed. I think the reason for postponing it before was to let a US release get there first, so here's hoping...

It was originally a September release in the UK, but got pulled at the last minute supposedly because they wanted to do a US release first. They had even sent out screeners to magazines etc

according to amazon.fr l'intégrale des bronzés (the trilogy) should come out on November 19, still no idea about the region coding or if it's english friendly (kinda doubt it though)

Checking up on my order of "The Seventh Seal" Blu-ray from Tartan Video at Amazon.co.uk gives me this message: "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."

Has this been cancelled?
